UNITE TO ONE WEAPON! Jesus
I'm not sure if the extra $500 is worth the Apple Logo on the laptop.
I dunno, you get an awful lot with the apple logo...
I'd rather have one or two good programs for something than having loads of shit programs and a few good ones. 90% of all software I've used I've had a better experience with than on windows.
This is what happened to me. I was pissing about with Notepad++ and shit for haskell and html and shit but I was never really happy with it. i found Smultron once I got my Mac and Smultron is hands down the best text editor I have ever used. NetNewsWire is also the only RSS reader I can actually use without wanting to kill myself. I only really use my PC for the occasional game of L4D and porn now. My mac can do everything better than my windows machine can.
It's funny how I expected to get more dumbs than I got. And I really don't get why apple haters go in here, do you feel the need to bash them?
It's funny how I expected to get more dumbs than I got. And I really don't get why apple haters go in here, do you feel the need to bash them?
They're just jealous. :smug: /joke But being serious though, I find people tend to enjoy "insulting" what they cannot use/afford. :v:
most time on my pc i play games so i don't need any other OS than windows
most time on my pc i play games so i don't need any other OS than windows
Why are you here then?
most time on my pc i play games so i don't need any other OS than windows
We didn't tell you to use another. Anyone that plays games should use windows, it's 100% logical.
Personally, I'd watch porn on the Mac. Then you don't have to worry about all the crap that comes at you from porn sites.
That'd be like watching porn with your mum though. Some things should not be privy to such entertainment, Mac is one of them (until mine gets older and a bit more beat up and I stop being so para about it :v:)
macs are bad
I was expecting a negative response to this, I am in the apple section correct?
I was expecting a negative response to this, I am in the apple section correct?
Mac people ignore it, and windows people probably search for it and rate it agree.
Mac people ignore it, and windows people probably search for it and rate it agree.
Oh, I thought i was the only one who did that.
All OS's just suck in some way, but because windows is used more and everyone is like: "If i didn't use it, it sucks" gives a Mac a disadvantage.
All OS's just suck in some way, but because windows is used more and everyone is like: "If i didn't use it, it sucks" gives a Mac a disadvantage.
Yep, that's what I dislike. But it's not like anyone can prevent it.
I haven't ever seen a mac with a poor LCD panel. Good LCD panels are pretty darned expensives. I guess there's your "Apple Tax". Not to mention the fuckton of other little things Apple does better and cheaper. And you don't get any bloatware. :v:
Things that I think contribute to the prize: Good design Good materials Most environmental friendly products on the market Good hardware, and the different parts work perfectly together. Good OS that makes the most out of the hardware (even with games as bootcamp is available) And apple almost always uses the latest in technology.
And apple almost always uses the latest in technology.
Not the absolute latest, but generally yeah. I spent ages trying to find out if the MBP had bluetooth and draft N WiFi and it turned out it's been standard on Macs for like 3-4 years :v:
Yep, that's what I dislike. But it's not like anyone can prevent it.
I have a macbook with snow leopard, but i use windows 7 more because i game, but i syncronize my iphone with snow leopard because itunes, calander, contacts, etc.
I have a macbook with snow leopard, but i use windows 7 more because i game, but i syncronize my iphone with snow leopard because itunes, calander, contacts, etc.
I don't play much games, so I use OS X mainly and Windows XP for some school work that requires it on my macbook, and Ubuntu/Windows 7 on my desktop PC. I only use my Desktop PC to listen to music, download stuff and watch movies tough.
About watching movies Macs seem to suffer from tearing artifacts when doing so, oddly so, you'd think they'd be more focused on fixing things like that, being the "superior" media platofrm and all.
I got an iMac Quad core for Crimbo, loving it :D They are just so sleek in every way. There's nothing on there when you first get it that isnt going to be useful to you unlike when you buy a Dell for example. That said I have it on my desk along with my trusty windows gaming PC. Mac's arent designed for gaming, they are pretty much specifically for the creative type. Windows however is utility, you can do pretty much anything on a windows. So I guess the Mac is the specialist and windows is the jack of all trades.
About watching movies Macs seem to suffer from tearing artifacts when doing so, oddly so, you'd think they'd be more focused on fixing things like that, being the "superior" media platofrm and all.
I've never had problems with that... I can watch 720p movies perfectly on my macbook (it's stupid to watch any bigger because of my small 13,3" screen)
About watching movies Macs seem to suffer from tearing artifacts when doing so, oddly so, you'd think they'd be more focused on fixing things like that, being the "superior" media platofrm and all.
Are you sure that isn't like an old Macbook with Intel graphics? Video playback on my 9400M is flawless even with like 4 videos playing and heavy use of expose (I was testing it :v:)
I can absolutely agree with that if you play games go with windows. That is nothing but logical. But I've had 2 Windows laptops and my current MacBook pro. The mac just feels better, the way it's built so it works perfectly with the OS, the multitouch trackpad and the extremely robust aluminium. I used to dislike apple, and I don't like their old products (as in till the iPhone was released) But they have really reinvented themselves and their products to the better. And the recent explosion in users shows that, and don't be stupid saying people are dumb that uses apple products just because you're an ignorant fuck that dislike them for stupid reasons.
How on earth is that a stupid reason, and how is anyone who doesn't like the fact that mac has no directx an ignorant fuck? That's a very good reason, the vast majority of games uses it and even on your overpriced as shit but good hardware, it's gonna be harder on the computer to run. And personally I think the only reason there is an explosion in mac users is because of apple offering schools a huge discount on mac computers, thus raising the percent of users. Cheaper, hah, that's a good one. Second of all, the only reason you would get bloatware is if you're being a retard and running every .exe that comes along.

Pretty much every factory PC or laptop comes loaded with shit. And most of the time there's no Windows disc to do a clean install.
Comments in Bold. My MacBook arrived about an hour ago. I think I'm in love. :h:
Spec to Spec, macs are cheaper. Also, hardware optimisation.
No, they're not. And PCs being loaded with shit isn't the fault of the OS, it's the fault of the retailers. The'd find a way to do it with macs too if apple loosened their totalitarian grip on who sold and developed for the things.

And most of you don't know what the shit you're talking about because you've never used a mac and don't know the OS as good as you know windows. Anyone that's not a complete retard can see that you can't just bash anything because of what you've heard from others. I use OS X, Windows and Linux and I know all OS'es just as good, therefore I can tell what's missing from one and what different weaknesses/strengths they have. But a person that has only used windows can't tell anyone shit about another OS. It'd be like I was trying to prove an car expert wrong, and the only thing I know about cars is what I've heard from other people.
You don't seem to understand what people are saying, macs don't need direct x as it's not a gaming OS, it's not made for games and people that use it don't play games.
I agree. It always makes me laugh when most Facepunchers think games are the only thing anyone would ever use a computer for.
I agree. It always makes me laugh when most Facepunchers think games are the only thing anyone would ever use a computer for.
Maybe, because most Facepunchers are like 11?
