I have no clue how the shit it happened but /b/ seems to be screwed up with my theme.
please tell me this isn't me being a fucktard in some incredibly hilarious way.
Moot did it to keep out the less intelligent cancer. If you can't figure it out on your own, or at least by Googling it, it means you're cancer.

Why do I have to learn how to make userscripts/Stylish CSS files to view it? The only way I can see to deblackify it is to edit EVERY CSS entry to be a sensible color.

wait no, scratch that, found an easier method
[editline]18th January 2011[/editline]
wait no again, apparently copy pasting the JavaScript from /g/'s stylesheet selector does nothing.

Basic but it does it's job without eating a large amount of memory or time.
I was bored so I made myself a wallpaper

Resized from 1920x1200

oh okay, I hadn't done anything to it yet so I was just wondering if it was a fuckup on my end.
Jesus Christ that looks like something out of a superhero movie

I know what you meant. You mean all the cool HUD shit on computer screens in movies everytime right?
Yep, that's exactly it.

That's one of my comps.. cba to go to the others. The Sydney clock is not there just to look neat, as I know people down under, but the European one is (I could work that out myself :P).
Can someone tell me how to get that Windows 7 dock thing that supposedly comes with it?

Also XP suck balls, because I got BSOD after 2 days of installing this shit and configuring it, but absolutely no errors in Win7. And Vista is just slow Windows 7 pre-alpha version.
Can someone tell me how to get that Windows 7 dock thing that supposedly comes with it?
There aren't any docks that come with Windows 7.
If you mean Windows Sidebar, the "sidebar" part of that was removed in favor of letting gadgets just sit on the desktop.
If you mean RocketDock (looks like Mac dock but with skins), http://rocketdock.com/

Odd. Never had that problem.
Maybe some bit of hardware has very shittily made XP drivers, but the Win7 drivers are fine?
Can someone tell me how to get that Windows 7 dock thing that supposedly comes with it?
It's the taskbar. Windows 7's new taskbar is similar to a dock.
I could've sworn someone said something about a dock that came with Windows 7 that looked like a rocketdock thing...
And it wasn't the sidebar either, I know about that.
IIRC, rocketdock and things like that aren't RAM and lower end computer friendly.
I'm wanting to spice up my netbook a bit.
Trying to also find out how to get custom Win. 7 themes but all I've found so far is dodgy looking sites.
Also, I'm not the brightest knife in the bag so bear with me if I say something stupid.
Odd. Never had that problem.

Nope, drivers is fine, it's just XP. Besides, Microsoft are going to stop XP support soon. So why the fuck I need to use this corpse?
Nope, drivers is fine, it's just XP.
How do you know the drivers are fine? It can't be just XP, because your problems with it aren't common. I'd be willing to bet if everyone who's posted in this thread in the past couple of pages installed it, you'd be the only one with that problem.
Besides, Microsoft are going to stop XP support soon.
k?
So why the fuck I need to use this corpse?
Some programs don't play nice with Win7. You might need a spare XP install, maybe even in a VM. For the most part support is good, but if you don't have Enterprise or Ultimate editions, you might need to keep that XP stuff somewhere accessible.
Some programs don't play nice with Win7.
Nope. Everything works fine. Yeah, I have to do some jinx dances, but I got all needed programs running great.
k?
That means you won't get updates anymore and nobody will do games and programs for XP. Someone don't make them already.
How do you know the drivers are fine?
Because XP were still working when I installed them. Simple.
That means you won't get updates anymore and nobody will do games and programs for XP. Someone don't make them already.
I know what it means. I'm asking why it matters.
Meh, turns out it was just ObjectDock (rocketdock pissed me off, I tried it) with a transparent background.
I've turned my netbook into a mini version of my desktop now.

I know the top is a bit cluttered but that's the way I like it.

view > style > no style
they've done it before and you should remember it
I know what it means. I'm asking why it matters.
You'll get the answer, when all new programs and games will refuse to work.

crossed out some stuff on rainmeter(ip,mail, etc)
I may change the background sometime,I found that one yesterday and thought it was pretty cool.

I'm not a big fan of rainmeter nor the Phone7 icons but your left screen is awesome! Great wall!
How do people get all these cool desktops? :gonk:
Magic.
Really though, some of the stuff used is Rainmeter, Object dock/Rocket Dock, something for custom Windows themes (which I'm still trying to figure out how to get), Windows 7 button changer...
A whole multitude of stuff.
Careful though. Ca5bah hates Rainmeter and will rate any desktop he sees using it as dumb.
If you care about ratings anyways.

Ideally people should only rate desktops dumb if they truly suck. If you just don't like it, use Disagree. That's what I do...
course who the hell uses ratings correctly on FP anyway
