Went back to an older wallpaper. Yay abstract.

Generally I use Windows as my main OS, but the 27'' iMac is just too fucking nice. [editline]26th March 2011[/editline]
setup on my laptop: [img_thumb]http://i.cubeupload.com/dSM0DO.png[/img_thumb] The widget is clickthrough + always on top I'm considering doing autohide on the bar, but I rather sacrifice the aesthetics for some practicality :v: Also, I just added the adress thingy on the start menu and removed the entire adress bar from firefox. Now I can write a link (partial as well) in there and it'll open a tab or also a file from the disk. Saves a bunch on browsing realestate. [img_thumb]http://i.cubeupload.com/cM88QR.png[/img_thumb]
Any chance of a link to that wallpaper?
So many desks with too much rainmeter crap. :barf:
At least mine is useful... Has things on it I actually am interested in knowing instead of stupidly oversized clocks and other shit like that. I like to know the weather and current temps outside, the moon phases one is interesting, the trash bin one is useful, the date and time ones are nice, and the links to programs one is good for if I'm using a program where I need to have Object Dock closed for more screen room. (That sentence is only slightly confusing) Of course, the reminders is obvious. And, the CPU meters for when I'm gaming. I usually try not to have games in full screen mode because 1. I hate it and 2. Monitoring temps and CPU usage. Foobar player is the only one that is impractical and is just there for looks.

I'm back on Windows, for now. Just reinstalled rainmeter and tried to install a new theme, wtf is up with the lack of .rmskin files in the zip files now? It's all the different parts of what should be the .rmskin instead and I can't rename it to a .rmskin. Anyone care to help? What I've got so far.

Anyone remember SharpE from 3-4 years ago? The new version came out in February of this year, and let me tell you, it is the MOST customizable Windows shell yet.
I am having trouble getting windows custom themes working... :saddowns: It is just switching my theme to basic. [editline]27th March 2011[/editline] [img_thumb]http://johnbooth.dyndns-free.com/img/fp/desktop.png[/img_thumb]
[img_thumb]http://filesmelt.com/dl/desktop31.jpg[/img_thumb] Same wall on both desktops, but I pretty much have a window of Firefox perpetually open on the other screen. :x
have you patched your uxtheme.dll?
Use UxStyle Core instead. UXTheme patching is obsolete.
-snip, terrible-
Use UxStyle Core instead. UXTheme patching is obsolete.
Obsolete, how so? I've never had any problems with using it.
Why is RM running, but there's no themes visible?
Maybe that's what the Chrome window is hiding.
[img_thumb]http://www.1337upload.net/files/0kuvatausta.png[/img_thumb]
Rainmeter...
What's wrong with it? I know it is pretty much the default, but I can't see any reason in changing it if it works for me.
You know him. He hates it even if someone makes it incredibly useful.
[img_thumb]http://www.1337upload.net/files/0kuvatausta.png[/img_thumb]
Wallpaper, please.
Rainmeter...
There is no way I can rate this dumb enough times.
There is no way I can rate this dumb enough times.
hurp durp look at me i like simplicity oh hi rainmeter let's display every single bit of information about my computer and have it take up the whole side of my screen oh yes oh yes simplicity i'm orgasming oh yes can i shewt it on your tewts? [editline]28th March 2011[/editline] http://encyclopediadramatica.com/Rainmeter
Rainmeter is a performance meter that can display CPU usage, the mp3 you are playing, the porn you are watching, what your sister is doing, your hard drives, your IP address, the local news, your mom, what Google has to say about your mom, the latest changes made to your blog, your network traffic, where the best torrents are being uploaded, your CPU temperature, RSS feeds, funny pictures, your bandwidth, a WEP indicator, text that you want your desktop to say, HTML links, program shortcuts, and the time. Just because it can display all of these things, you will probably try to use them all. Besides being a total resource hog, Rainmeter is a snobby application where the average Windows user can attempt to make his PC’s desktop look like a flavor of Linux. It is a total failure at it and the whole concept of putting various informational widgets on your desktop has evolved into who can use the most configurations of the skin called HUD.Vision on their desktop at once. Seriously, if you really want a bunch of shit on your desktop, why not use the Windows sidebar that comes with every installation of Vista? Skinners, people who try to modify the look and feel of their Windows installation, will post their version of their desktop in a desktop thread and then their post will be followed by at least three hundred requests for what kind of Rainmeter configuration they are using. This is usually followed by another three hundred replies stating that the OP is using HUD.Vision and that everybody needs to lrn2internet.
Can't deny it; truest statements in the universe. [editline]28th March 2011[/editline] All you need: What's that? Need to check my system performance? SO HARD TO DO WITHOUT RAINMETER!
