It's been a long while since I posted here (I think it was the first page of v5) and that was with my netbook, which is currently being repaired by myself, since Chameleon 2 RC4 on an EFI partition with a hybrid MBR doesn't want to let Windows boot, some error about /Boot/BCD. Here's my desktop after a little cleanup (stuffed a bunch of map files into Maps and shifted all the icons to the left)
(thumbed for largeness)

Also, Office 2010 Professional Academic arrived in the mail yesterday, and I just realized today that there's a use for 7stacks:

The wallpaper is a giant 6000x6000 image from NASA's Hubble Telescope gallery on their website that I scaled down and cropped. I haven't really bothered to put rainmeter or anything like that on my desktop, and I think I may be due for a format soon, since I'm getting graphics drivers that are acting up a little and my post-login startup time is getting worse and worse. I'll probably work on making my desktop prettier after the format.
I cant install the custom orb even though i did everything it said.

What's with your clock displaying 0:28?
What's with your clock displaying 0:28?
probably has it set as a stupid 24 hour clock, where midnight is 0:00.

How is it stupid? I use 24 hour clock for my phone and iPod because it's easier to keep on top of important events and meetings.

Nothing wrong with a twenty four hour clock.
Personally, I prefer it reading as HHmm:ss.

Minimal, clean, and usable. Just how I like it :dance:.
Rainmeter = clutterfuck :barf:
whoever convinced you that low-contrast monochrome UIs with unreadable pixel fonts needs to be taken out back and have their head blown off

yep, you never have to worry about accidentally setting your alarm for 8pm and missing work
12hr clocks are the dumbest shit ever invented
Been trying out rainmeter and simplesentence. I can't get the skin such as when the sun will rise and set to actually display when the sun will rise/set. Is there special configs I have to do?
On my MacBook since I'm on vacation:

Been a while since I posted in this thread.
It's a bit sad that all Mac desktops look so similar...
(A gray toolbar at the top, the dock at bottom and maybe a few desktop icons.)
Meh, you can customise it quite a lot if you know how. I just can't be fucked right now.

Muscar's desktops were a shining example. Shame he perma'd himself since he felt he needed to spend more time working.

My main PC is in for RMA, should get it back in the next few days (MOBO POST init failure)
Tried to make it look nice and clean.

Psh, CS4... CS5 is where it's at, son.

It still works just as fine.

I know, I'm just a cocky asshole when it comes to keeping up with current software. Even linux kernels... I just have to have the latest.
Still using CS3 here ;)

Let's try to guess which applications you actually use;
After Effects (MAYBE)
Flash (MAYBE)
Encore (formatting and burning video)
Illustrator (MAYBE)
Photoshop
Dreamweaver (I doubt you use Notepad)
Premiere (MAYBE)
And you don't use;
Bridge
OnLocation
Fireworks
Contribute
Soundbooth
InDesign
LiveCycle
Acrobat
Why do so many people pirate the full Adobe suite and install every single application it includes? Half of the programs are specific to one type of work yet you install them for some reason. You look like a jackass.

I just use ThinApp to make portable versions of Photoshop CS5, Flash CS5, and Acrobat CS5 to my USB stick for personal use, because it's much easier to install and use without the unwanted bloat.
