Don't argue with me.
Why not? :smug:
Why not? :smug:
Why should I tell you why not?
Why should I tell you why not?
Cause now it may be an argument.
Default everything, image artifacts, shortcut icons, inferior image host, not media tagged... This post should piss some people off, but the petty squabbling in this thread makes me think they deserve it. By the way, if you're wondering about the background, it's the Grand Tetons as seen from Teton Lake. I took it over the summer. It's a really beautiful mountain range.

lol mcafee
lol mcafee
Mcafee is a good antivirus but yeah, there is no point in paying for AV when there are shit load of free ones that are just as good or even better.
lol mcafee
inorite.

Why do people have empty Desktops? There needs to be a mix of functionality and appearance.
I have no icons, and no dock. Everything I need is on my panels on ubuntu or pinned to my start menu.
He's constantly trying to come across as extremely computer literate and being nice makes no difference. I decided to try a different tactic.
And you came out looking like more of an idiot than anyone in the thread. Except pixel heart.
Here's Mine :3:
I made a few variations with a different center image, and have it set to rotate every minute.

Updated: I gave up on using combined taskbar buttons, they weren't very practical, especially for windows (explorer). Also, replaced RocketDock with ObjectDock, but I'm not really happy with its background. Still looking for a better one.
Why do people have empty Desktops? There needs to be a mix of functionality and appearance.
I never even see my desktop, I do have lots of shit on it though
Why do people have empty Desktops? There needs to be a mix of functionality and appearance.
My desktop is my todo list. It's only nonempty when I have files that I'm still working on.

God those shortcut arrows! Get rid of them.
God those shortcut arrows! Get rid of them.
I would but I heard it could interfere with the "Explorer" context menu. Also, I couldn't locate the "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\lnkfile" in RegEdit. If you could tell me what else I could do about it. Do tell. I don't like them shortcut arrows either.
Why do people have empty Desktops? There needs to be a mix of functionality and appearance.
Naw, everyone here on Facepunch thinks you need no desktop icons, bland/boring grey themes, and rainmeter. Oh, and fuck your life if you dare have a shortcut arrow... they'll rip you a new one. Savage asshole critics, these facepunch members are. Personally, I agree with you. I enjoy having things be functional, while also nice to look at. It's not like running compiz or Aero is going to choke my dual-core system. Everyone acts like they're running Pentium II systems, and feel they need to pinch resources needlessly.

http://www.stardock.com/products/fences/ Along with Enso or Launchy. http://www.launchy.net/ http://www.humanized.com/enso/ Only problem with Enso is that it's not being developed anymore, and Firefox recognizes the site as a dangerous one, even though it's fine.
So did you miss my post above or what? Sorry, buddy, I don't keep my desktop clean to please anyone here. I do it because it looks better to me. All of what I need is in the start menu. I've been keeping my desktop empty like that before I even came to FP in the first place. Also, nobody mentioned turning Aero off, at all.
Once again, green check mark.
