If you want a script that uploads the image to a public host, use my Anyhub script!
[code]
#!/bin/bash
FILENAME=IMG=`cat /dev/urandom | tr -cd 'a-zA-Z0-9-_' | head -c 3`
function uploadImage {
fileurl=`curl -s -F file="@$1;type=image/jpg" http://anyhub.net/upload | grep -o "http://ahb.me/[^.][^\"]*"`
}
if [ "$#" -eq 0 ]
then
echo "Select area to capture: "
scrot -s $FILENAME.png
uploadImage $FILENAME.png
notify-send Anyhub "$fileurl"
echo $fileurl
rm $FILENAME.png
else
for file in "$@"
do
echo "Uploading $file"
uploadImage $file
notify-send Anyhub "$fileurl"
echo "$file -- $fileurl"
echo
done
