Very brief one would be.
1) Root
2) Backup with Titanium backup
3) Install ROM manager
4) Flash recovery
5) Install CM and gapps.

Have you ever used Serendipity? I'm just wondering how they compare. I used to have Cognition but switched to Serendipity and it's awesome.
