They're quite easily the best headphones ever made. They're only weakness, which is present with all es headphones I've heard of is a weakness in the force of bass. The quality in replication is unmatched though. Another reason is that is comes with a fancy tube amp. They're probably handmade too.

The prices make sense though, given the sensitivity of high end audio-components. If you're willing to shell out the money, you can afford it no doubt. Most of the people who would buy those parts own recording studios.

I understand it might be a bit upsetting, whenever someone buys an expensive product and later learns about it's true [i]value[/i] they get very defensive. Be open minded about it. Investigate frequency ranges before making an uneducated response.

All of the audio is coming from the arc. In order to have one able to do bass it needs to be nearly a dozen feet long and would draw more current then a welder. It has zero distortion to it when done properly. They are used in some systems as tweeters currently.
