no
The A4 isn't "insanely fast". It's a standard high end mobile processor like tons of smartphones have and the A5 is probably about the same speed as Orion and Tegra 2.
If I remember, the A4 directly copied a Samsung chip
I don't see why the A5 wouldn't be identical to the Orion

okay we get it you don't like iOS
Sounds like they went all out in terms of Garageband. iPad has a lot more creative potential.
“I cannot tell you how many hours teenagers will spend, making music with this.”, A grand total of 0. Seriously who the hell would use an ipad to create music, its so counter-intuitive. (Besides gorrilaz)
ohH a video.

you forgot apple's core business strategy
take a feature that already exists then overtly imply you invented it
Well, fuck it, I'm staying with iPad 1.
It's a shame about the apps, it would be a great selling point if they were preloaded onto the new iPads.
Aha "Its blowing my mind!"
I think I'll nab a cheap ebay ipad 1 now, nothing really new or interesting

I just find the ipad's homescreen faintly insulting
The upgrade is like iPhone 3G to iPhone 3GS. And we know how that went..

But ifaux said that, not Apple. Apple never claimed that their A4 was faster than Hummingbird or other average high end smartphone processors.

Oh boy I love this stream
Where's the one more thing with BBC
A Video is up on Apple.com
I don't know but I am waiting for BBC.
Am I the only one that thinks the new Garageband app is more exciting than iPad 2?
I have a 64GB 3G at the moment, really doesn't look like it's worth the upgrade.
I don't think it is, as long as you can get the new Garageband on the original iPad. I may get an original iPad cheap because of it.

Probably, but then again, most people are uninterested in music production

It's like the 3G-3GS deal, it'll be all fine at first, but the more time passes, the more apps and features will not appear on iPad 1. In the end we will have iOS 6 be as slow as iOS 4 is on 3G.

From my experience, GarageBand on a desktop is bad enough.
"I'm Johnny Ive, and I'm made of money now.
"This is worth repeating. It's in Apple's DNA that technology is not enough. It's tech married with the liberal arts and the humanities. Nowhere is that more true than in the post-PC products. Our competitors are looking at this like it's the next PC market. That is not the right approach to this. These are pos-PC devices that need to be easier to use than a PC, more intuitive."
Nicely said.
okAY the BBC event was pointless.
Erm
what was the bbc thing about then?
