Ah, OK. I caught that note at the end and thought it was saying all covers, but I didn't bother to watch it again because I couldn't skip ahead from the beginning. I hate how in the commercial they claim that the iPad created an entire market area.
Tablets were around before the iPad, even though they sucked.
Oh and how they say this will re-define the entire market again, and it will be the "device to buy" for years to come.
Not only will they make a third one in a year, so it won't be for years to come, but I don't see how adding HDMI, 2 cameras (that should have been there to begin with), and making it slightly smaller and faster will re-define anything.
And the cover is sold separately...

that is just part of the two piece aluminum hinge rotating, the magnetic part stays connected to the iPad.

His facts are all over the place. Its 499 dollars for the base but he states 800 as if its the norm, when he said himself the price is the same? Technology advances fast and if Apple and indeed any company didn't update their line of tech every year or so they'd fall behind compared to companies who do. How does Apple force you to buy it? It's your money and if you want to buy a new product, its your decision.
Apple have a way with marketing, and being so enthusiastic about your product is to be expected if its any good.

Uh, yeah, that's sort of the point. They took an iPad and refined it to a better, thinner, lighter design. Then they upgraded the insides (Dual-Core 1.2ghz A5, much better GPU, double the RAM) and kept the same battery life and price..

What keeps annoying me is that pretty much everything people have to hate about the iPad 2 is based off of people who bought the first iPad, not acknowledging the people who haven't bought it yet. I didn't buy the first one, and the second one has more than the first, so I'm interested in buying it.
I decided to commit to buying one when they come out on the 25th in Canada. Just bought a few apps in anticipation

the ipad has 4:3 because it just plain SUCKS to hold a 16:9 tablet in portrait mode.
after 30 minutes of holding the xoom in portrait mode it feels like a fucking sword or some other heavy shit
But then 16:9 is also way better for video content, so...
Where will be another newer one in 6-8 months with juat fasyer ram so I not in an hurry for this. Not that an ipad is the best choice fora laptop given the price
