The resolution is way too big.
Think of the power it would take to run a 2048 × 1536 display (which is only 264ppi whereas the iPhone is 326, so the resolution would have to be bigger than that).

You're forgetting that Android is used on a lot of different phones and some naturally run worse than others. iOS is specifically optimised for the iPad and iPhone architectures.
