This cooler instead beats the h50 and 100 watts is easily enough.
So, watercooling isn't really necessary even though i overclock the 920 to 4ghz?
Also, I have heard somewhere that there is different "CPU & RAM combos" resulting in different performances. If its true, i could use some help picking out the best ram for getting best performance.

that cooler sbradford26 posted is very good, could let you overclock to 4ghz, a TRUE in push/pull would also be very good
[QUOTE=Slipperss;21200513]Hmm.. It's cheap and got good ratings and reviews.
I need my CPU watercooled since i need to OC it to 4ghz.
What watercooler do you suggest then?[/QUOTE]
true pushpull, or like xiggy st1283 or hyper 212 can get you up there pretty easily, same with the sunbeam core contact freezer, noctua can probably too, but it's darn expensive, very good fans though, very quiet but ugly
[editline]09:03PM[/editline]
what monitor(s) do you have op?
Planned on using 30" 2560x1600

Are you buying or do you have it already because the 5870 eyefinity edition is out.
The screen is not yet purchased, no.
Just heard there will be a XFX 5970 eyefinity out soon.

it's funny because you speak of value and yet you boast that a motherboard can support 24 gigs of ram
[editline]01:27AM[/editline]
why u hatin on lian-li
[editline]01:28AM[/editline]
if you think it's too expensive that's ironic because you're spending 400 bucks on 6 gigs of ram[/QUOTE]
Lian-Li makes quality cases.
They're just not exactly worth their price. But still, OP has the money so why not?
[QUOTE=tommyc225;21196770]Why are you spending so much money on a motherboard?[/QUOTE]
Motherboard should be most expensive part of a build, it's the main part, the only thing that can be almost future proofed, friend of mine built his current PC 8 years ago, spent lots on the motherboard, swears by spending lots of money on motherboards, it is still better than most PC's at this time, Obviously he'll need to upgrade to an i7 or i5 soon, but 8 years from a build and it can still play games like, crysis for example, not too shabby.

So you're telling us that this kid is running Crysis on a Pentium III?
Bull shit.

The motherboard should not be the most expensive part.

does your friend use a pentium 4/3
[editline]08:18PM[/editline]
if not i'm pretty sure he's lying since lga775 and am2 came out in 2006
[editline]08:18PM[/editline]
gah i just noticed ghostofme beat me to it
[editline]08:18PM[/editline]
how are lian-li not worth it, it's a step up, of course it's about 50 dollars more
I personally don't find them worth the price.
After a few thousands questions and answers on forums and stuff, my current build has changed to this:

RAM - *Missing* (Looking for some with tight timings)

Still looking for some ram, i considered some Mushkin RAM because i haven't really seen faster timings than [URL="http://mushkin.com/Memory/Performance-Memory.aspx"]These[/URL] but they are really hard to get, since I live in Europe.
Anyone suggest some other ram with nice timings?
I do also need some really good cooling paste.
For cooling paste try [url]http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835100009[/url]
It's overkill but so is buying an i7 930 and overclocking it to 4Ghz so... Yeah.

So is buying 2 HD 5970's...
why do you have a 1000w PSU
a whole system with 1 5970 doesn't even use 500W

I did say 2x 5970's.
I need some RAM with really fast timings, preferably PC3-12800 1600mhz, if anyone can help me pick some? :3
I know there's 2
if a whole system with 1 5970 takes less than 500, the same system with 2 isn't going to take more than twice as much
What a giant pile of wasted money. What do you plan on doing with all this? You must be planning on doing a fuck ton of high process rendering work. For the price of just one of those graphics cards you can make a build that can run every game on the market and then some.
[QUOTE=Slipperss;21326566]since I live in Europe.[/QUOTE]
Why are you using newegg then?
Because using danish currency and websites seems a little awkward. Thereby Newegg where you all understand the language and probably the currency.
Got 2 things i can use your guys help with.

Could also use some help picking a fan for the Prolimatech Megahalems, needs to be below 30 dB.

Corsair Dominator GT
Scythe Gentle Typhoons.
Mobo shouldnt be most expensive parts, should be GPU or CPU
And also the motherboard is one of the least future proof parts because of new sockets coming out with new ranges almost all the time...
The PSU or GPu are and i think DDR3 ram will be around for a bit longer

Well theres also the AMPs to consider, also he can save on electricity bills too if it runs at its optimum efficiency load. I think thats the main reason people buy larger PSUs.
But in OPs case its expensive and so suiits his build.
