Remove every trace of the old driver with Drive Sweeper (google it) Then download the correct Nvidia driver and instal that. If it still doesnt work you might want to try reseating your GPU.
Did you do any of this?
I don't dare reseting the GPU (because I'm not so litteret) would bying a new card work? It should work since I would need to install new drivers wouldent it?

And reinstalling windows would have a higher chance of working then buying a new card sicne drivers are installed on your hard-disk not your GPU.

I TRIED EVERYTHING!
Why doesnt driver sweeper work? Does it give a message? and are you installing this driver?:http://www.nvidia.com/content/DriverDownload-March2009/confirmation.php?url=/Windows/258.96/258.96_desktop_win7_winvista_64bit_english_whql.exe&lang=us&type=GeForce And make sure you do the instalation properly. Read what every window says and make sure you arrent doing it wrong (if thats even possible)
And, if I need to reinstall windows I need to have a tutorial... [editline]08:54PM[/editline]
Why doesnt driver sweeper work? All the Games, files, pictures, music, programms ect. Its gonna be as new. [editline]10:13PM[/editline] Btw try this: 1:-Configuration screen-->Hardware and sound-->Hardware and devices (may not be correct translation cause I have the dutch version) And check whats under screen adapter. 2:-Press start --> Trype DX diag and press enter --> Check if there is a 9800 under the second tab. If its in both of those it means its is 90% sure to be a software error and fixable by things like reinstalling windows. Im off to bed now, good luck.
Install this:http://us.download.nvidia.com/Windows/258.96/258.96_desktop_win7_winvista_64bit_english_whql.exe
There is not a 9800GT under DxDiag. Also it does not help me at all just saying; "install this" I TRIED EVERYTHING that has ANYTHING to do with installing any fucking drivers that does not work. Drivers were the thing that caused this.
Try doing all of this in safe mode. Press F8 repeatedly on startup until a menu comes up. Navigate to "Safe Mode" with the arrow keys and press enter. Once booted, uninstall anything Nvidia from the programs list in control panel. After that, immediately remove the drivers from your computer with Driver Cleaner Pro or Driver Sweeper. Reboot back into safe mode after that's done and double click the .exe you've downloaded from Nvidia's website to install the drivers. Let us know how that works out.
Ok, will try that. Thanks for the contribution you are making to this thread, and completely ignoring my anger.

And as MTMod said, enter safe mode, start Driver Sweeper, do a full Nvidia cleanout, and download the latest drivers for your card from here: http://www.nvidia.co.uk/object/win7-winvista-64bit-258.96-whql-driver-uk.html
I have done everything that you two guys said. But it still looks like that.
Does your motherboard have an integrated GPU?
Does your motherboard have an integrated GPU?
No.

If it doesnt you have a hardware error and need to reseat/check the card or buy a new one.
I'm quite sure that Speccy needs the drivers installed, aswell.
Dont see why it would need that.
I'm quite sure that Speccy needs the drivers installed, aswell.
At this point we're willing to try anything.
Speccy main window. May take time to load (or atleast it took time for me)
Wow weird. Have you reseated your gpu yet?
Wow weird. Have you reseated your gpu yet?
Do you mean reset or reseat? And how do I do it?
Do you mean reset or reseat? And how do I do it?
Unplug PC --> Take off side --> Remove GPU power connector -->Remove screw holding the gpu in place--> Pull down pin holding the GPU in place (next to the Pci-e slot) (Some cases have a click system)--> Pull out card.

I have tried to put it in another slot, putting it back in the normal slot. And back, and again. So apperently that does not work for my problem, would buying a new (better) card, also PCI-E work?

This thread is I may say with back seat commenting, is starting to frustrate me, quite badly. To be honest Taipan, what can we do now.
Reinstalling windows would be the option before that.
I know, but, would it work?
I know, but, would it work?
YES, but that is like last measure
I know, but, would it work?
I wouldnt be saying it if it didnt have a chance to work,. And reinstalling your computer once in a while is good annyways. gets averything nice , fast and clean again. You will lose all your documents and programs tough if you dont back them up. [editline]07:43PM[/editline] reinstalling isnt that bad. I do it once every 6 months to keep my PC fast.
