please stop
lol, never. :h:
Ok, installed rainmeter [img_thumb]http://www.cubeupload.com/files/9df000desktop.png[/img_thumb] Improvements pl0x
Don't use that clock. It looks horrible. And shop around for some custom skins and see if there's any which catch your eye. Edit: I got rid of the network meters and added a weather widget, since I finally figured out how to get the weather.com feeds working. (Thumbed since it's only a minor change from my last pic) [img_thumb]http://filesmelt.com/dl/desktopfghgfhgf1.jpg[/img_thumb]
How can I change how the clock looks?
How can I change how the clock looks?
Get a new one. There are loads of rainmeter skins out there.
What version of Rainmeter are you all using? I'm using the Beta, but it seems to not play nice with various skins.
lol, never. :h:
will u go out w/ me
will u go out w/ me
no i asked her 1st
Get a new one. There are loads of rainmeter skins out there.
I'm actually kind of confused with all this. There's rainmeter; which I gather to be the base application. Then there's this Enigma thing, which I've guess is the visual style for it. Then there's "skins", which seem to be widgets, and "themes" which appear to be the layout of the widgets O_o It's a bit confusing for me :ohdear:
dont use it then, nobody is forcing you

I never use them, and I don't even know what they do. Essentially yes, the skins are the widgets. Rainmeter can be quite confusing, the application and configuring the inis is simple enough, but what little documentation there is is quite vague. For example, the weather.com xml feeds that all the weather widgets use changed about a year ago, but it's actually quite hard to find confirmation of hthis actually happening, let alone how to fix it. Another example: the place where you install skins is the Documents/Rainmeter/Skins folder, but practically every skin refers to the Program files folder. In short, some aspects are confusing and not very well documented, but you get the hang of it.

just installed it, lovin' it so far.
Finally, I've been waiting for somebody to say something about Rizzo being PixelHeart.
I've honestly never heard this rumour before. Colour me intrigued.
I've hoest ly never heard this rumour before. Colour me intrigued.
I personally noticed it when they had the same background/resolution. I think it was when he had the broken vista background.
[IMG_thumb]http://filesmelt.com/dl/Untitled_-_Copy3.png[/IMG_thumb] Saw Chris220 using it and fell in love.
That looks horrible. None of those skins match and several look downright obnoxious. I've said it before and I'll say it again: make your own rainmeter skins. Or at the very least customize the ones that you download so that they look good together.
I'm actually kind of confused with all this. They should all be in Documents/Rainmeter/Skins as Generic Monk said. They should also be self-contained - if any skins refer to the Program Files folder it's because they're badly written. The only thing that should be in the Program Files folder is your rainmeter config - that's what stores the layout settings for each skin. That makes sense: the location of a skin on your desktop shouldn't be coded into the skin - it should be coded into rainmeter. Themes are just collections of skins. They let you switch out all of your skins for a different set at once without needing to load and unload each skin individually. Enigma is a theme (a bunch of skins) that comes prepackaged with Rainmeter. Honestly, I really don't like it. However it makes for good examples if you're learning how to write skins. Those Rainbrowser and Rainthemes applications that come with Rainmeter are useless and confusing. Don't bother with them since they're just shortcuts for editing the config files.
I had my Garry's Mod crash on me so I hacked this up while waiting for it to restart. I think I'll make a bunch of corresponding ones for other regions.

RBS is the "back-up" system where if a transmitter lost its direct feed from a broadcasting station (wherever Red Bee does playout now, essentially since it probably has the monopoly now) it would lock on to the closest transmitter - so in essence if you were the BBC you would pull down everything except for Crystal Palace and check for quality. It's not entirely accurate, though - ITV never did RBS testing AFAIK because they usually got their feed live from their franchise, and I don't see regions getting one from another. I don't think the regions had any contingency plans anyway. The BBC was really the only organization which had the span and so could do it - but in anticipation of DSO they've stopped. Ceefax used to go off for an hour or so and they'd pull out Testcard F once a year.
