i mean really some linux's dont even have an interface what's up with that
Even the government uses Windows Server....
the government uses windows because it doesn't want to pay for the training to use Linux. Also only server distributions and advanced distributions (gentoo, arch, and sometimes debian, which is also arguably a server distribution) don't come with an interface. And even then it's literally one command away from getting one.
why doesn't it just come preinstalled its just an unneeded hassle [editline]11:57PM[/editline] windows- 5 linux- 0

I am pretty sure the Government wouldn't mind, specially from how much they spend on our own military.
Microsoft Xenix
because you don't want an interface with a server. It's unneeded CPU and memory usage, and that's bad.
pff why would you want to host a server on linux windows is much more secure
Generic. [IMG_thumb]http://i43.tinypic.com/o5rq4x.png[/IMG_thumb]
Generic. [IMG_thumb]http://i43.tinypic.com/o5rq4x.png[/IMG_thumb]
That is so undeniably cluttered and ugly, good job. :D
Good thing it's...my desktop?
Generic. [IMG_thumb]http://i43.tinypic.com/o5rq4x.png[/IMG_thumb]
What theme is that?

I'm talking about stability, and there is no denying that Linux is a much better kernel when that comes into question.
um no thats your opinion, windows is much more stable
pff why would you want to host a server on linux windows is much more secure
lol'd
I'm talking about stability, and there is no denying that Linux is a much better kernel when that comes into question.
Even if Linux is a better kernel, Windows offers a lot more support then Linux and no one can't say no to that.
Ha, wow. Yumyumbublegum, have you even used Linux? It's much more stable than Windows. Don't get me wrong, Windows is still good, but Linux is just as good. Use an operating system for a while before judging it.
Support is about the same. For professional support, Windows beats it, but for support on forums, IRC, etc. Linux blows Windows out of the water.
um no thats your opinion, windows is much more stable
From the first post I thought you where ironic, then till this page serious. Now I'm not sure at all. Either way, you're freaking retarded.
Even if Linux is a better kernel, Windows offers a lot more support then Linux and no one can't say no to that.
The community is Linux's tech support.
Windows' kernel is smaller than Linux's. WindowsNT 6 + HTTP Server can fit on 25MB of disk space. Linux 2.6.32 generic is like 38MB.
Also Red Hat, Mandrakesoft, the thousands of pages of documentation, and the countless books on Linux. [editline]12:42AM[/editline]
Windows' kernel is smaller than Linux's.
Support is about the same. Doesn't matter, lets just agree to disagree and get back on to posting desktops.
professional support > user support
Once again, red hat, mandrakesoft, canonical, the countless pages of documentation, etc.
What theme is that?
http://miretank.deviantart.com/art/Diamond-for-Vista-II-82110960
Linux is better get over it. [editline]08:44PM[/editline]
http://miretank.deviantart.com/art/Diamond-for-Vista-II-82110960
For a second I thought it was mine, but I noticed the taskbar was different.
Linux is better get over it.
You just want to keep an argument going?
