It was a dragon but I changed it to avoid conflict. I kind of like this new one though. [img_thumb]http://i41.tinypic.com/ev75v5.png[/img_thumb] thumb'd because I know most people hate pictures that stretch the page.
[img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1439918/Pics/desktop4.png[/img_thumb] Left monitor is ugly as shit due to it always being covered by Chrome.
Look at the file name guys.
get over it
That's not font rendering. That's just font. Know your facts before you talk. Font rendering on Mac OS X is the greatest. When I moved from Vista to a mac, I just couldn't figure out why website just looked so much better. Here's default font. [IMG_thumb]http://imgkk.com/i/frem.png[/IMG]
That really is everyone's own opinion. OSx and Safari have awful screen font rendering. The pixel grid is there for a reason. And while there's loads of nice things on OSx, font rendering isn't one of them. The thing you posted just looks too blurry. There's pretty good results which you cna get with cleartype or gdi+ which beat OSx.
Cleartype is very nice. When I discovered it on XP, it literally made my week
[img_thumb]http://img717.imageshack.us/img717/7545/desktopiv.png[/img_thumb]
Nice little scipt. Still, why don't you just set scrot to the prnt screen key? I can't remember, but you can do it in ~/.config/openbox/rc.xml or something like that.
That's great and all, but I'm using XFWM. Also, yeah that's where keybinds are in openbox.
I'd like to add to all the OS X font thang. Those screenshots loosk fucking awful on my PC(aside from the fact that custom font is terrible anyway), but ithe same menu looks much better/normal on my actual Mac.
I have my font smoothing set to automatic, and I think it is designed for my particular monitor. It may looks different on yours. Also, when I change it to light or stong, it looks exactly the same to me.

Doesn't really get more simpler than that. :v:
You'd be surprised, before it was just a black screen and I had to alt tab to things.
You'd be surprised, before it was just a black screen and I had to alt tab to things.
I don't consider that simple. Kind of pointless in my opinion.
I don't consider that simple. Kind of pointless in my opinion.
Why don't you consider it simple? It's not complicated, it's simple.
Why don't you consider it simple? It's not complicated, it's simple.
The lack of a taskbar would just make life pointlessly difficult, methinks.
The lack of a taskbar would just make life pointlessly difficult, methinks.
Not if you just use alt+tab to change programs anyway. Just using the keyboard is often much faster than a mouse. Same for the start menu. What os is it?
Windows 7
i like alt-tabbing more then moving all the way to the taskbar
i like alt-tabbing more then moving all the way to the taskbar
I prefer windows-tabbing. Gets a nicer oversight of what's what.

I alt tab too. Though usually when I'm working on Vista Style Builder (which is often) I have like 15 windows open and then it just becomes annoying.
DoNT HATE, APPRECIATE i know you guys don't like icons for some reason, however i find them charming.
