Not necessarily. At the Geforce, I was like "wtf" with their numbering systems, but what I know with ATI, they it it in this fashion: XXXX X000 is Bracket size 0X00 is bracket preformance 00X0 is something I forget And 000X is very rarely used. I think EVGA does soemthing similar, but I'm not sure. All I know is that a 670 is better than a 570, and a 680 is better than a 670, and a 690 is not worth it. :v: [editline]19th August 2012[/editline] Ask Brt. He knows more about this shit than I do
680 and 670 are the Flagship cards, i do know that. Then the 660, next will be even lower the 650's. 690 is the usual dual card.
Newegg refunds really bite. "restocking" costs $50. When I could sell the card on ebay or somewhere similar for like $280 and have them pay the shipping. Then I would only lose $20.
Then do it. They lose money when you can't make up your mind. [editline]20th August 2012[/editline] Not trying to be a dick.
I speak for everyone when I say; it's about fucking time.
I'm gonna have to wait for at least a month or two before it hits Australia let alone New Zealand.
what are you talking about? I think I'm going to wait for the price to go down. It's $400 AUD at the moment, and it's $300 USD when the AUD is at parity with the USD.
Yeah fuck that price. Gtx560Ti in nz starts from $250 up. Why pay about $300-350 or therebouts for the new 660 when fps benchmarks are so minor.
But they aren't. There's a substantial increase in performance.
Its still not convincing me enough to pay for it.
One initial increase of what you've said could be like $50 isn't worth what could be anywhere from 25 to 75+ percent more performance depending on the game? Ok sure thing.
Merge fail but proves my point about it being double the price of a GTX 560TI. http://pricespy.co.nz/product.php?p=1370111 [img_thumb]http://images.anandtech.com/graphs/graph6159/49189.png[/img_thumb] Not to rant continuously about it but $525NZD (minus shipping) for an extra 10 frames more than the 560TI can pull? not worth it.
You shouldn't compare frames like that, Its a third faster there. If the 560 was at 40fps the 660 would be at 60.
I entered the contest, maybe I'll get lucky and win this badboy. Though I'll have an awful bottleneck with my Intel E5200 :v: I really need to upgrade.
