Thank god i have Vista. But my Laptop has been blue screening me since this update
So all this time it took 5 times to boot, was because of this.
Good thing i never updated AVG :smugdog:
Guess its time for a new AV then. Suggestions?
Holy shit I just changed to Avast not long ago.
My old laptop from 2004 boots XP in 30 seconds, with all the updates and no antivirus. Occasionally, something might pass through and mess with something, that has caused alot of things in windows to not run at all. It can't use installshield programs anymore. But AV programs can mess up your computer too, so it's better to have one than not have one. Avast on my netbook, Avira on my desktop. Avira is slightly slower, and more annoying, however I prefer it's interface more. This reminds me back in 2005, my mother bought a laptop made in 1998 with XP, 128mb of ram, and a dedicated graphics card. Slow as fuck, three antivirus programs on it, and all sorts of other stuff. The 6 gig HD just had 6MB left. 30 mins to boot.
Thank god I don't use that piece of shit AVG.
Comodo FTW
i had avg a week or 2 ago, so i upgraded to avg 2011 i tried to remove it, and when i did, my computer wouldn't start, so i had to reformat avg is a virus guys watch out!!
NOD32 represent. Seriously, I'd rather dish out some money than be stuck with something that isn't as effective. A NOD32 license is cheap as fuck anyway.
I remember when I used to use ClamWin. Boy was I stupid.
I have AVG, I know it sucks but I've never had any problems with it and I am too lazy to switch.....I run 64bit W7, but this didn't happen.
Thank god this laptop has Vista 32-bit. :downs: I'm safe on this laptop until the make another one of these.
I have win7 64bit and AVG. I think I should count myself very very lucky
Avira...:)
Fuck yeah, Avas-DING! AVAST VIRUS DATABASE HAS BEEN UPDATED
You can turn that off. Easily.
avg is a virus guys watch out!!
Wow, you're a moron.
Wow, you're a moron.
No, he's right. What kind of shit software can cause an entire fucking OS to stop functioning? Either the OS is completely broken or the application was written by retarded monkeys. I think it's a little of both. I blame Windows for allowing an application to clobber the OS like that, and I blame AVG for writing shit-tastic code.
written by retarded monkeys. .
I approve. He is partially correct. He should've said acts like a virus. Makes much more sense than when I read it. Also, I have AVG 2011, the paid version, yet, when I updated that day, my computer was fine. Didn't read if It only affected the free version.
I guess that's one way to keep your system virus free.
What the fuck... I just finished reinstalling my windows because of this crap..Fuck you AVG
NOD32 represent. Seriously, I'd rather dish out some money than be stuck with something that isn't as effective. A NOD32 license is cheap as fuck anyway.
Agree to this man. It costs a bit but i never had anything that works so great.
I have no anti-virus
lol avg
Half the people who use AVG don't know shit about computers so that's a lot business for computer stores.
I remember when AVG was good ):
Comodo. :smug:
Didn't McAfee do the same some time ago?
