Nvidia needs to get their shit together. I personally don't want to swap to ATi for a number of reasons but I am still looking a for a future successor of my 9600GT which is a proud and valiant card.

they do have their shit together, they have their usual cards. The fastest and most expensive, a best buy, and a few somewhat useless/overpriced cards that are there to compete.
not that DX11 is necessary or anything, cause anything that isn't is not allowed to compete against dx11 cards. :rolleyes:

Dx11 is kind of necessary if a dev wants to give graphics a boost without putting too much time into it or have it require more processing power from the enduser, just add displacement maps, code their appearance and voila. (At least that's how i think it goes.)
The only reason DX11 and DX10 even exist is just to make the developer's job easier. I'm so tired of retards going "man it doesn't even look good".
Crysis Dx9 100% dev effort to achieve those graphics.
Dx10= A little less effort spent, so they could make it better.
Crysis 2 dx11=They will be able to make an ungodly gorgeous game in a ridiculously short amount of time.
not sure if you (punched) knew or not, but i was being sarcastic. NVIDIA has had worthy competitors to the 5000 series, dual card or not, DX11 or not. Towards if DX11 is worth it or not is a whole 'nother discussion

Not necessarily true. They still have to optimize the game and work out kinks with the textures and the various layers of maps that they have on all the models. what's the use if your nanomachine infused marine looks shiny 100% of the time, even in darkness?
