I just picked up my iPad today, so first thing I'm going to do is to backup my SHSH keys for it. My iPhone 3GS are already backed up, so iPad's next.

They offer Mac and Windows downloads, but never one for Linux... and the Windows one doesn't work in Wine (Nothing really works in Wine) so we're left out in the cold.

Or that it probably relies on the drivers that Apple only supply for Mac and Windows.

I installed it on a 3gs 3.1.3 and it works great, aside from deleting your camera roll.
Just back up your phone files, and it works fast with no problems, untethered, finally.

Eh, I never turn my iPhone off anyway so tethered works just fine for me.

Probably wait until the 4.0 jailbreak whenever it gets released.
