Now I am worried about my case...
There were dead spiders in my parents PC case as well, only little ones though :v:
Man that was satisfying to clean and redo the cables (strangely enough, small computer stores do not do a good job of cable management).
3. z68 isn't exclusively for SSD, that's just one of its many features.
no, the two advantages of Z68 are SSD caching and using the IGP (not that helpful because for the price difference you could just buy a cheapo spare card)

Like I said, it was the cheapest one.

Oh god, the cable management I did in my friends case. Because I had to get a sata power connector from the optical drive to a HDD(he has 3 HDDs because I told him that his old HDD was slow so he gets a raptor and latter a F3 for more space) and had to move a bunch of cables so its just a mess of sata cables and PSU cables everywhere.
Could someone explain the SSD caching on the Z68 boards?
Could someone explain the SSD caching on the Z68 boards?
Basically, you take a small SSD (20gb ish), and it will be used as cache for your big harddrive (size doesn't matter). At first all files will be written to the ssd (and common used files will stay on it and be read from there), and later on when you are done writing data, all the data will be written to the big hardddrive. It's all about performance improvement.
I can't find my ipod or camera at the moment but this is what my laptop looks like

the casing, some of the RAM, ODD battery, charger and screen is from a 6735s (pictured) but the board, HDD and CPU are from a 6730s

What?
I don't think he likes the lights. I'm not a fan of them myself, but its your pc; do what you want with it. I'm not one to judge.

Clean cases are the best.

I can turn off the blue light, there's a switch on the back for them. I just like how top fan blends into a funky red/blue/purple thing.

It's definitely a neat effect. I had a very similar color scheme on my first build (about 5 years ago), but it wasn't nearly as tasteful. I wish I still had pictures.
I also just usually leave them turned on because I'm too lazy to crawl under my desk and find the switch.

It would be cool if you could control the fans & lights with some utility on your computer. Someday.....
I once accidentally plugged in my blue LEDs into my old case's fan control (it never worked on the fans for some reason) so when I turned the knobs the brightness would either dim or it's made a strobe light effect.

I have a Lian li, they're a curse because once you get one you'll never buy a non aluminium non classy case again

You can, alienware have been doing it for years now, the way I do it with my UV lights (look amazing at night/day but when I'm trying to get to sleep it helps turning them off) is use a fan controller.

This one, the knobs on the left are my four main fans including CPU fans, two on the right are also fans and the last two on the right are my UV lights, it's like having a dim switch for your computer, very useful, that fan controller also supports completely turning the fans/lights off completely 1 by 1.

Can you partition around 10gb of an SSD and use it for caching?

You want any more computer with those fans?

Isn't that one of the features of that new Corsair Link thingy too?

if I'm seeing that right, that's pushing air into it. I think you want it to suck air out.

no, air moves in the direction of the side with the sticker on it

I suck at fans.
I really do.

most fans have the arrows on them showing blade and air direction too
