That looks like a weird place for the CPU fan header to be.. Also, congratulations on your first build Oh, and my new PSU arrived. Thankfully nothing was damaged from the blast of the old one:
I think he plugged it into a case fan connector. [editline]21st June 2011[/editline] And you didn't connect the 4 pin CPU Power
I think he plugged it into a case fan connector. [editline]21st June 2011[/editline] And you didn't connect the 4 pin CPU Power
The CPU Fan connector was a 4 pin if i remember correctly, the one on the fan was 3... And I noticed the CPU Power, couldn't find the 4 pin then discovered this case gives you an 8 pin that you plug half of it into.
A 3 pin should fit on a 4 pin connector, and a 4 pin on a 3 pin connector. [editline]21st June 2011[/editline] Not my case, but i came across it: :barf: Dat cable management, harddrives and radiator.
What the fuck? [editline]21st June 2011[/editline]
That looks like a weird place for the CPU fan header to be.. That guy has 7 Harddrives. Lol.
Where in the world did you find that?
Youtube. Anyways, the rad has 4 fans:

I'll do some good cable management on my new build when it arrives, it will be my first buil :D
Imagine if the airflow is facing each other.
Thunderstorms would appear!
Decided to paint my fans white (just the blades) as it would make for a nice white on black colour scheme in my CM 690 II (waiting for a 650D) and look good under UV light, decided to take some pictures as I love looking at people doing this stuff myself and thought others might be interested. Started with taking my computer completely apart, thought I might aswell do some good cable management while I'm at it, laid my components on a bandana I had: Next I took the blades out of the fan casing, some were required just pulling, others I had to take out a little stopper (wasn't difficult really just fiddly). Some of them had stickers that were very stubborn and left annoying residue (which is a nightmare if you're going to spray paint it) and others had silly stickers on that refused completely to come off like this one; Got tired, time for a cereal break. After my cereal I used white gloss to spray both sides of the fan, gaffer tape to stop the innards & grease from being painted. After that I simply put it all back in, push/pull on the H60, two exhaust fans at the top, two in-take at the front/bottom, all painted white and looking lovely: I also apologize for the quality of the computer shots, my phone just can't seem to take decent low light photos, I assure you it looks magnificent in person! Still looking forward to my Corsair 650D once I save up the £130 for it (ridiculous compared to my CM 690, I could get a second 6870 for that..) but it was my first case mod and I'm quite pleased the way it came out, gave me confidence the next time I decide to do some case modding myself! Also, for some strange reason my CPU and ambient temperatures dropped 8c (white fans make them cooler I swear) and I'm not sure why.

Only picture I've taken so far, I'll try to take some more tomorrow. Most of the light is from the video cards' PWM indicators. Also my system is pretty silent for having so much horsepower. I had the back off when I took that shot. Most cables are routed in the back, some of the fan cables aren't sleeved, but I'm not too concerned. The stray wire in the middle hooks to my HAF 932's side panel fan.
I need to get my hands on a quality camera and take some decent pictures of my case. I've really cleaned up the cables, at least on the visible side of the case. Behind the mobo tray its a fucking mess. I feel I've done a good job with the cable management possibilities that the HAF X provides, though.
Am I the only one..without some damn LEDs?
Am I the only one..without some damn LEDs?
I don't have any leds either, if you don't count the power led in the front :buddy:
i didn't even connect the power or HDD activity LEDs
My 690 II Advanced will only have LEDs on the front intake fan (which can be turned off, awesome feature by coolermaster)
my random case from some random prebuilt doesnt even seem to have LEDs built in I had to built them in my self, so my dad is happy when he uses the computer for him the power-on and hdd leds are a must and i dont know why
this 932 front fan is supposed to have an "led off" connector, but as far as i see it doesn't..maybe an adapter of some sort but i don't feel like digging through my mobo box

oh? I haven't found it the 3 times I've torn everything up to redo cables [editline]24th June 2011[/editline] i mean for the front fan, if that's not what you're referring to
oh? If so, just get to the front fan and there should be a 3pin going to the mobo, and a 2 pin going to the top of the case.
there is no toggle switch
Am I the only one..without some damn LEDs?
Uh no...I haven't had any LEDs in mine for about 3 years now. My two previous builds had no LEDs either. [editline]24th June 2011[/editline] I think LEDs can be fine if they're tastefully done. But I'm not a fan of having a light show going on inside of my computer.
there is no toggle switch
My fault, its the 922 and the haf X that have the led toggle switch.
Am I the only one..without some damn LEDs?
I haven't specifically tried to put LED's in my case, my system came with the front Red one, then the cards had them built in. It's not bright, that was a 10 second exposure at ISo 800.
