Case is a cooler-master storm scout
Graphics card is a gtx275
I'm getting a new one soon hopefully, (something around a 6870) I got this for free because my friend upgraded and sent it to me cause he had no use for it
it replaced a 5770 that a gave to my friend cause he needed it badly :v:

Definitely one of the best CM 690s I've seen. Well done, sir. Excellent job with the cable sleeving, looks like you took the time to do it properly. I wish I took my time, but it got really frustrating after a while.
that's exactly what it is
you could have gotten a better performing yet quieter cooler (and higher quality too), but instead you chose to go with corsair who I am tired of having to repeatedly tell people are good but not the best at all
Also, people don't realize that the majority of the products they sell, they don't actually make themselves. You can thank Asetek for Corsair's closed loop water cooling solutions. I must commend Corsair for their excellent job of marketing their products. Tons of bandwagoners who are mostly paying for the brand name (though I'm not saying their products aren't any good).

dat cable management.
I don't get it, why don't they just use two 140mm fans on the d14?
If they would, high profile ram wouldn't fit.
i am a dumb nigger
Nothing wrong with Corsair's coolers, in-fact the NH-D14 is more expensive than the H60 and
from the reviews I can find on the H60 it outperforms the D14. Plus the H60 is sexy.
The smarter decision would be to go with the H60 over the D14.
Preference != brand monkey regardless.
Why did you rate him disagree then if you also would make the smarter decision yourself?
If they would, high profile ram wouldn't fit.
The 120mm doesn't even fit with my RAM! I had to raise it a little bit to fit.

It's about as "high profile" as you can get.
Do you have any vibration issues with the hard drives? Having more than 1 in my 690 II makes a pulsating vibration, I've tried jamming cardboard in the O rings in the spare slots to stop it but it still happens.
It hasn't been a problem from what I've noticed, but the second hard drive isn't used that much, it's only a backup from his old PC.
Why did you rate him disagree then if you also would make the smarter decision yourself?
I don't even know, and can't we just agree that both coolers are decent?
The H60 is a thin and low density radiator and the fact that it's on par, sometimes worse, sometimes better than the D14 is pretty good as far as I'm concerned, if you're really wanting high end cooling get your own custom watercooling or wait for the H100 or something alike, H50/60/70 and D14 I'd say are all good choices depending on your budget and arguing over 1-2°C either way is just silly. I'd still personally go with the H60 over the D14 just because it's cheaper, performs similarly and looks much better.

Okay!
This isn't the PC Building section, go make a thread there.
Stop talking about cooling, we want pics in this thread.

120mm exhaust is broken but too lazy to remove it
would like a quieter top exhaust but fuck the lack of standards with >140mm fans
What case do you have?
mini p180
ninja'd
[editline]26th June 2011[/editline]
also, is your cooler touching the GPU?
nah just looks like it from that angle, but it's pretty close
gotta love PCI-E as the first slot
I decided to tidy up my cables and add 2 more fans to my case; one little one on the side panel as an intake and another one at the top of the case for an exhaust.
Here's a picture before:

And here it is now:

It still looks messy here but that's because of the stupid amount of cables I had to hide away:

My Falcon Mach V. This is the original chassis, and was built in 2006. I inherited it from my grandfather when he passed. Needless to say, he was a quite a gamer, and the anti-stereotype of a grandfather. Anyways, the specs are as follows;
AMD FX-60 at 2.6 (wince)
2gb DDR 800MHZ (wince)
2x Nvidia 7900GTX's
BFG Aegia Physx card at 512mb
Dual CD drives
10,000 RPM 150gb HDD
And a really shitty Mobo, Asus A8N-SLI.
Nice monitor, a 27inch.
And, pics. Excuse fuzziness, only had my shitty ipod camera to use.

Outside Front view of case. Notice the awesome Logo :D
[img_thumb]http://imgur.com/NkNst.jpg[/img_thumb]
View of CPU and cooler. Cooler has a nice LED that isn't too bright. Cable Management is also EXCELLENT.
[img_thumb]http://imgur.com/7SDLp.jpg[/img_thumb]
Close up of GPUs, you can barely see the PHYSx card sandwiched between the two GPU's. Surprised the damn thing hasn't overheated yet.
[img_thumb]http://imgur.com/l4pLf.jpg[/img_thumb]
Backed up view of whole interior. Falcon NW does cable management like nobody's business.
[img_thumb]http://imgur.com/2qYkd.jpg[/img_thumb]
Sound proofing on case wall. This stuff rocks, easily halves the sound level.
EDIT: Almost done.... and there! All done. Now you won't have to reach for your trusty eye soap canister.
One of the things about this computer is that there are only 2 exhaust fans. All others are intakes(7 total intakes). That means the PSU and top case fan provide a steady stream of heat. Which sucks in the summer, because it will raise the temp of my room 10 degrees fahrenheit at max. In winter, however....
You took those pictures with a wristwatch.
You took those pictures with a wristwatch.
*shame*
I will go take better pics now... in shame....
All done, enjoy :D
I want that case.
In other news, I decided to be a weirdo and do a video of my computer:

Shit picture from a long time ago but;

PSU SALAD, it's far better now..
The case of that falcon is probably worth more than all of the components combined, especially if you leave most of the fans.
:smith:
I remember them having these amazing hand air-brushed cases. I always wanted one for that.

oh wow, do they even make physx cards anymore? :v:
