I want ram fans just because it makes the rig feel more... full (kinda pointless though), if you know what I mean, just like I want to fill my harddrive cage and all four optical drive slots except there's nothing to put in them dammit.
I want Corsair ram fans just because it makes the rig feel more... full, if you know what I mean, just like I want to fill all 8 harddrive slots (I've got only one, ordering two F3's for software RAID0 Friday though so it should help) and all four optical drive slots except there's nothing to put in them dammit.
fan controllers
fan controllers
I ordered two 3.5" fan controllers a week or so back but they've not arrived yet, that means I need to fill just one more harddrive slot to have a full cage! That'll feel nice, I'll probably get a cheap 32gb SSD and pop that in there on a bracket, although I still can't find anything to put in the optical drives other than optical drives and I never, ever use them.

I'd have nothing to put in the cup holder and I don't smoke, otherwise it would of been perfect, but I'd need four.
Add one of these:

And this:

There, I've filled three/four of your drives.

If you unlock the fourth core on a triple it disables the temp sensor until its relocked.

It's because you have a core unlocker running, if you actually have a x4 processor go into your BIOS and disable UCC or anything resembling a core unlocker.

tempin0 should be the temp sensor in/under the cpu socket (afaik?). run prime95 and see if the temps go up
[editline]28th June 2011[/editline]
core temps for me are 3-4C higher than reported there when i'm in games

They won't. His temp sensor is off.

tmpin0 should still work regardless. It does for me.

only the core temps get stuck
My CPU runs at 56 C now.
It's summer time though.. but I haven't cleaned my computer since I built it about a year and a half ago.
If I clean the fan, think it'll run at 40-50 again? Or should I upgrade the fan?
You should probably clean it.
My new motherboard and case arrived yesterday, so i rebuilt my system. This is actually the first build I did on my own without any help. Not completely happy with the cable of the fancontroller, which came with the case, running all across the PC. Will probably have to get a 5.25" touchscreen one, as I can't install the one I have, because the knobs would hit the front door. Also, does anyone here use MX-4 TIM? My load temperatures are much higher with MX-4 than with the ShinEtsu that came with the H50. Both idle at 1-2°C Delta, load on the ShinEtsu was 10-15°C Delta and now with the MX-4 it's 20-25°C Delta.

Is the top fan suppose to be angled like that?
Is the top fan suppose to be angled like that?
Yeah, it exhaust through the back and not the top.
Can see the ventilation holes at the top in this pic:

Interesting, never seen a case with a back exhaust fan angled like that.

<3
I love those cases.
I don't like each wire being sleeved separately, makes the case looks so full.
What case is it? I like it.
Fractal Design Define XL
Did your PSU come sleeved like that, did you sleeve it yourself, or did you buy those sleeve attachments?
