Condensed (pure) water is incredibly bad at conducting.

It's not the water that conducts, it's everything else in the water that conducts.
Yup, impurities.
[QUOTE=jomt1234;30987451]Just got an laptop in use now, don't use my stationary in the summer because it's like a fucking radiator. Winter use only :v:
So, here's a pic of one of my laptops, with my latest invention of cooling; Ice in a bag in a bag!

Low budget Coolermaster Hyper 212 Plus (£22)
Mid Budget Akasa Venom (£35) or Thermaltake Frio (£43)
High Budget Be Quiet! Dark Rock Pro (£55) or Noctua NH-D14 (No idea :P)
[QUOTE=I_Forgot;30921567]I recently made a computer and finally took some pictures. It's the NZXT Phantom Newegg version.

and the insides

I love the way the lights look at night. The orange light from the top case fan combined with the blue light from the PSU makes a nice combination.

I nearly bought that case solely for one reason: I'm a HUGE Bengals fan.

Yea might not be noticeable but the graphics card, the hard drive and the memory have all been stripped from this computer. The motherboard and processor were fried anyway (crappy powersupply) and I've had a newbuilt Sandy Bridge computer for the last month anyway.
Besides, perspex makes perfect airsoft target practice!

That'd be a pretty cool case, with the broken plexi glass. You wanna look into selling it?
You can have the case for $10 plus whatever p+p is to the US (I'm in the UK) seeing as I can't really sell it any other way
what do you mean the board and CPU being stuffed?
what does it do?

Lets move this to the PMs.
Since most of you guys here are building enthusiasts - I wanted to ask something. I recently overclocked my 555BE to 3.9GHz on stock cooling (yes it's stable, 29 hours on prime95) and bought a 6870 to fit on my ASRock mobo in a 330Elite case. This case only has the rear exhaust fan.
When I play games like battlefield bc2 and crysis warhead - I get a steady 50-60fps for the first 10-15 minutes, and it drops to 30fps after. I don't experience this with source games, or pretty much anything less demanding.
No clue why this is happening, but I really do hope that this is a CPU overheating/any type issue since I'm upgrading to a 980BE soon anyway. I bought a 12mm fan + a 212+ for cpu cooling. Just wanted some opinions from you guys...
monitor temps while playing?

Well, I'm not really bothered with the extra money spent, I heard the the 980 overclocks to 4.5GHz on good cooling!

Tried: GPU peaks at 68c, CPU peaks at 45c

It's $70 more than the 955 with a 500mhz factory overclock.
Not really worth it imo.

Can't it be pushed further than the 955 though?

well you're dumb so shut up
you can just get a 955, they're good overclockers so get rid of the shitty stock cooler and have it way over a 980BE in about 40 seconds and for a hell of a lot cheaper

yes but the 980 overclocks to 4.5GHz.. and don't tell me what to do.

the 955 will too it's just that the 980 is probably a tiny bit more stable because It's a factory OC :v:
