It's this kinda stuff that makes me wish Newegg delivered to Europe. There's no where that delivers cool pc stuff like that.
Thought it was time for an update on my computer(s)
First my gaming/ used most often rig

Running eyefinity on 2 Dell 23" U2311H's and an older (worse as seen by colour distortion) Dell 24" which the model number doesn't come to mind.

Then you've got my Bitcoin mining rig, running a HD 5850 at roughly 300Mhash

My final computer sits at the top of my wardrobe it's a music server connected to my 2.1 old speakers. First attempt at spraying a case, turned out ok.

As for the hardware, my top computer is running
I7 950 @ 3.07Ghz
Gigabyte USB3 x58 Mobo
6Gb 1600Mhz DDR3 ram
2 640Gb WD blue cavalier hard drives in raid 1
250Gb Hitachi (I think it's quite, old) for extra storage
Semi dead Hitachi 650Gb drive, often has bad write problems so I don't use and can't be arsed to return under warrantey or take out.
2 x Sapphire HD 5850 in Crossfire (Bitmining 24/7)
Noctua NH D14 cooling CPU (love Noctua fans so quiet)
Extra Noctua cooling GPUs
Corsair HX 700W
Lian Li PC A70B
Creative 7.1 Speaker set
2nd PC is
E5300 C2D @ 2.6Ghz
WD 150Gb Cavalier Blue
Corsair CX 500W
Sapphire HD 5850 (Mining obviously)
1Gb DDR2 533Mhz
Wooden case
and the music server is
Point of View DTX (extended ITX) Atom D510 Mobo & CPU which you unfortunately can't see, I didn't want to risk pulling the PSU cable out by moving the case
XFX HD 4650 (used purely for bitmining as I use a virtual client to access this pc)
An old 600W StealthXstream PSU from OCZ (stood the test of time, was in my first custom built pc around 2006 ish)
80Gb hard drive (seagate maybe?)
1Tb WD green cavalier hard drive for storage of music.
Creative 2.1 Speaker set
And that's about it.
So what are Xeon's used for anyway? I thought they were for servers or something but I'm unsure now because you're using one with three 6900's.

They are but you can also use them in a desktop environment.
i think that's how you win at computers
Huge Update, Awesome Pics, Clock etc..
Not sure if this has been asked before, where did you get that clock that's next to your rig? I wouldn't mind getting/making one.
imgur always jpeg-rapes my png's. I personally prefer filesmelt.
Filesmelt is absurdly slow for me.
Dropbox has never given me problems. If, for some reason, Dopbox is unavailable, I go CubeUpload.

Whats the cardboard for?
So I have 4 red 200m Megaflow fans in my HAF X case.
What colour should I choose?
Red:

White:

Make the LEDs look good..putting 5000 LEDs in there so it's just a big blob of color isn't good..
No, don't listen to him. Make your Pc a fucking dance club!
No, don't listen to him. Make your Pc a fucking dance club!
Remember the huge disco ball.
Make the LEDs look good..putting 5000 LEDs in there so it's just a big blob of color isn't good..
Yea I know. I already know how I'm gonna place the cable and I'm pretty sure it will look good. Kinda want white since there's so much red already, but red could look good to.
No, don't listen to him. Make your Pc a fucking dance club!
Yes I'm gonna buy every colour they have.
No, don't listen to him. Make your Pc a fucking dance club!
Or even better make it so you can see it on Google earth.
I'm gonna make them strobe and put my computer at my window.

My leds in my computer at my window.
[editline]20th July 2011[/editline]
In my apartment
If I ever get a case with a window, I'll make sure to get some LED's and a disco ball just for you guys.
And if I'm lucky, the airflow will keep it spinning!
Whats the cardboard for?
To separate the top radiator from the rest of the case so it can suck air from the front. I had a nice aluminum shroud there but I just added some more fans to the radiator so now I have to redesign the shroud so it will fit again. That's why the cardboard is there.

What are the last two cards?
I left my old HD 4670 with a friend, kinda miss it now since I could do something like that with my x1300, GTX 275, and HD 6780.

i like how the fans slowly get larger and larger, ending with a desk fan
i like how the fans slowly get larger and larger, ending with a desk fan
That's what my laptops CPU fan looked like. :smith:
What are the last two cards?
Looks like a EVGA GTX 275 (mine recently died but some how came back to life) and some Asus CUII cooler but I can't tell what card since they all look the same but I'll assume it's a GTX 580 or 570 since he said the last two are Nvidia cards.

Want a GTX 275?
[editline]20th July 2011[/editline]

I would love you forever. :buddy: But I'm broke or else I would've bought a card.
