No, most use it to run 3+ monitors off a single card.
Playing games in eye-finity is not all it's cracked up to be, Practically every game you never even look at the side monitors due to most things being on the center one, and obviously in FPS/racing/RPG you'll be focusing on what you're doing in the center, it's pretty cool for flight sims though.

It's also very useful for FPS games imho.
For instance, when you walk around you indeed focus on the center monitor, but when defending a area you have a much bigger field of view which gives you an advantage.
I always liked the idea of eyefinity. Think about it, in real life you have about 180 degrees of horizontal view field, most of it you don't focus on but you still notice it. When playing on one widescreen monitor you usually have 70-95 degrees of view field, that is a huge loss of peripheral vision.
Just bought myself some new parts
-i5 2500K
-GTX470
-8GB DDR3-1600
-Asus P67 Sabertooth
-700Watt PSU and a Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB
All to put into the HAF 932 Advanced (AKA Black Edition) Which I also purchased.
Will post pics soon.

And don't worry an aftermarket cooler for the CPU is underway.
you do realise the modxstream 700w only outputs around 550W on the 12V rail right
[editline]27th July 2011[/editline]
and take the plastic crap off the motherboard, it only raises temps

Oh yeah get a Seasonic Power Supply they are the best in the Industry. Or a Cosair they are made by Seasonic though may not be at the same quality tier as the Seasonic X line.
It is so good to post here again! Having no net blows so bad. And nice, I should be a goldmember!
And the requirements changed. Wonder fuckin-ful.

Believe me, you do *not* want to see inside. It's a tangled mess of cables, parts, and an upside down PSU. Why is the PSU upside down, you ask? Because, for some reason, it wouldn't fit right side up.
So, since it looks newer than my last one, which was an Inspiron 530, you'd expect that I'd have actually upgraded the thing, right?

NOPE.
Look at that. It's actually an Inspiron 530 in disguise! The only difference is, it now has a 520w PSU instead of a 300w PSU. So... 220 watts! Upside down! With hardware from 2008, and a crappy cable management job! With somehow less hard drive space! (Was a 500GB. No idea where that went...)
I'm a disgrace, I really am. And I'm loving every minute of it.
EDIT: Forgot to mention something. If you can't see from the blurry Flip Ultra pic (Yes, I still have a Flip Camcorder), the case is a Rosewill Blackbone. The PSU I chose wouldn't fit in the OEM case. So, instead of doing the logical thing and buying a new PC, I just recased my old one.
It still is 500gb, but windows says 1gb = 1024mb and hdd manufactures say is 1000mb or something
What program do yous use that shows your computer specs as posted several times in this thread?

Unfortunatly it is a pre-built. My Dad doesn't quite understand the benefits of building one, not too bad for £930, but could be better of course.

Yea but that's aluminium, which looks much nicer silver than plain old steel most cases are made from.
It looks good I'll give it that, but full tower silver cases are not aesthetically pleasing.
I like the small Lian Li's, expensive though.
Anyone seen the Lanboy?

That ugly fucker is £130 ($200), apparently it's "specifically made for LAN's", I'd be embarrassed to take that anywhere.
Also look at these Isotope cases:

It's only £350! ($550).

I bet they increase ur max FPS in Counter STrikes!
Holy shit I was just thinking, what if we used an optical drive bay for a reservoir? It could take up one or two slots (two would be better) and should be translucent plastic so you can see the water from the front of the case, man that would be cool and would actually give the optical drives a purpose.

Honestly, that's what I think any time I see a case that isn't just a standard, nondescript black/silver/grey case.
Which is why I picked the most basic of them all, the Rosewill Blackbone.
