Semi off topic, am I the only one who can't stand brown fans? I think they look horrid.

Noctua fans are classy man.

They look like someone took a shit on the fan blades while it was turned on.
they're so quiet though.

Not as bad as the fans on the Thermalright Silver Arrow..

Oh. My. Balls.
[editline]6th August 2011[/editline]
I don't actully mind it that much, but the thing with the brown fans is that they look out of place, I'm really fucking OCD about colour coordination, (when I post mine you'll see) to the point I bought a more expensive GPU because it was blue. I can't stand motherboards that have all different coloured whatsits and do-dahs, because its so bloody inconsistent.

Pretty much planning on doing the same on my next build.
Are people interested in a cable management guide ?

And you weren't talking to me. God I'm a idiot, sorry.
They look like someone took a shit on the fan blades while it was turned on.
Yes because anything that isn't black and red/blue isn't cool enough.
Noctua make some of the best fans on the market.
Fucking frozencpu and their ridiculous prices. $45 for a top panel with a 140mm hole in it.

Awesome, I need something like this.
Me three. Tee hee!
Make that four
Put my H60's radiator on the roof sucking cold air in (single fan) and got my idle down to 30c and my load to 38c, pretty good idea rather than it sucking warm air in from the case and exhausting it out the back.
Also decided to point a fan into my 6870 from the harddrive cage (mounted with ties) to keep the temperature down, keep getting high 80's on load and don't like it!
Nah, your five, I'm four.

I have 5 noctua fans in my case! I like them for some reason, maybe because they look kinda industrial.
I'mma start doing the guide now, any specific things you guys want included ?
Cable management 101:
Things you'll need;
Cable ties
Time, lots of it.
Scissors
A modular PSU.
A case modded for cablemanagement ( hole at bottom and holes at the 24 pin, 8 pin and the graphics card. )
Tips;
Remove your motherboard, pull the rear exhaust fan cable under it and out the motherboardtray, voila, one cable gone. If you have a top fan, remove the fan, pull the cable through the 8 pin hole, and voila, another cable gone.
Getting started:
( You might want to take a picture of the backplate and the front, so you can see if you did an improvement and what you did wrong, and what you did right. It takes time to learn this, don't expect having a super clean cable management first time. )
Okay, here we go.
Strip your PSU for cables, put them on a table or so.
Start out finding ways to run the motherboard/graphics card powercables ( 8 pin CPU power, 24 pin ATX, and PCI-E 6/8 pins. )

Start out with the ATX cable, pull it through the bottom hole, and up to the 24 pin, try to run it so it doesn't block the cable tie mounts. Tie it to the points so it doesn't show in the holes, that helps it look clean.
Now, run the 8 pin up to the top of the case, again, avoid blocking alot of points you might need later. Pull it through the top hole, pull a good 5 cm / 2 inches out, so you can mount it. When mounted, pull it back until it starts getting hard. Again, tie the cable.
The 6/8 pin can be done in quite a few ways.
You can do it the lazy way, just connect them directly, no hiding them.
The way I prefer, is to pull it through the bottom hole, and out at the graphics card, so the cable curves under the card.

ATX 24 pin.

6/8 pin PCI-E.
Okay, now that we're done with the mobo part, we move on to fans, harddrives, molex and the I/O wires ( start, harddrive led and reset ).
Usually, I pull the I/O wires down, tie them to a point, and pull them across where there is a little ” bridge ” over the holes in the mobo tray, then tie a tie ( obviously ) around them, and pull it HARD, so it keeps the wires from showing, then run it along the 24 pin, down to the bottom and put them where they're supposed to go on the mobo.
I hate doing the molex and SATA(n) cables, they always ruin the clean look you worked so hard on achieveing.
There is really no perfect way to do it, it varies too much from case to case. I posted some pics of how I did it so you guys might get some ideas. Even after doing this like 6 times, I still fuck up when it comes to the molex and sata part, it gets really cluttered pretty much every time.

Is the XFX 6950 good? I'm getting one for my new pc.
Also i like how most of the new cases have the HDDs like your's.
Sleeving cables are pretty expensive. I was gonna sleeve my whole psu until i found out it cost almost as much as the psu itself just to make it look fancy.

no it doesn't, unless your psu costs like $40
