HAFs are fine cases. One could do much much worse.

I changed my reply to avoid arguments but with the HAF 912 I agree, it's at a great price point and you get
a lot for your money, but a HAF 922 is just like a large 912 with gross interior and slight ricer feel except you get a
few more tool-less bits, you can get an R3 or classy Lian Li for the same price ($100).
I suppose in the end it's just preference.
So, there's now like a 912 case by Corsair.

I'm buying one for myself for christmas.
Looks better than a HAF imo. I saw a video review on it not too long ago and it seemed like a lot better too.
I also like the look of the 500r more than the 400r.

Here's the 400r review.

Twice the price of the 912 though so not really in the same bracket, more competing against the 922 really.
Although I hate fan grills on the side of cases, just ugly and most people don't use them anyway seeing as you have to keep unplugging them when you go inside
and you can replicate the same effects by putting a fan on your hdd cage with less hassle.

I've been a long time viewer of Tim for his builds and depth that he goes into, but jesus can he extend what should be a 5-7 minute review to 30 minutes.

Is it sad that I knew who it was just by the color of his walls?
I might get a 500r to replace my 912 and then put the build that's going in my Lexa S tomorrow in the 912 once I upgrade to the 500r.
Is it sad that I knew who it was just by the color of his walls?
Nah.
Where I bought it from, there was almost no difference between the 922 and the 912 price wise? Anyway, I like the 922, I went from an ancient CM Centurion which was just a black box that rattled and had no cable management atall. I wanted something a bit more bonkers, with huge fans with led lights and a massive start button :v:
And it has brilliant airflow
But i think it would be nicer with black interior. Though I don't really care how it looks inside, i just want good airflow.
Just bought a 2nd hand black optical drive to match the case for my AMD Duron Win98 rig.
Case was only £23 and I don't think it looks that bad.

My computer at work has that case.
My computer at work has that case.
It's all right, the PSU it comes with is utter crap, and the side panel is a little flimsy.
Jesus christ, all these awesome computers. Make me feel bad about my custom built one without flashy lights and amazing specs :(
without flashy lights
You have a good computer already.
Bah, who cares if anyone has the latest i7, I'm still on a Phenom II and everything runs perfectly smooth.
Hmm I'm in the mood to do something with my computer , do you guys think water cooling is worth the money?
Not really for your own use.
If you're building a PC to sell, very much so.
What are the advantages of water cooling, I heard somewhere that it was just a space saver. So is there anything else?
Oh wow, with $100 you could get something like this:

totally radical.
I looked up to you.... Why?
I looked up to you.... Why?
I assumed that was sarcasm
What are the advantages of water cooling, I heard somewhere that it was just a space saver. So is there anything else?
Properly set up it cools better than air-cooling, and for quieter.
But it needs a big case for radiators, and lots of money.
A good CPU waterblock is about the price of a top-of-the-range air cooler, e.g. NH-D14.
Also for selling "AMAZING GAYEMING COMPTUER WIL MAX GUD BLAK OPS".
Why did you de-brand the PSU?
The sticker was annoying to me because it didn't match the color scheme
[editline]23rd August 2011[/editline]
Also I just built this for a friend:

i5 2500k
MSI motherboard, I can't remember the model
XFX HD 6850
8GB 1300 MHz Ripjaws
560W Cougar PSU
500GB WD HDD
Antec 300

Phenom II or Phenom X2?
Phenom II or Phenom X2?
AMD Phenom II X4 940.
Deneb core.
3.0Ghz, but I will be overclocking it up to 3.5 soon.
I'm so going to be looking into getting that 500r. Sexy case!
If no-one has posted this already, and if anyone is still looking around for cheap cases with tons of features, check out X-Case (Pretty sure it is UK only though)
http://www.xcase.co.uk
I have the L13, it cost me £47.99 and has pretty much everything I could want from it (Black interior, bottom mount PSU, dust filters, watercooling holes, cable management, plenty of included fans, CPU backplate cutout, mesh drive bays, extended ATX support...)
Check it out.

It actualy really doesn't look that bad at all, I quite like it.

No problem, hope it helps in finding a very decent case.

Kinda
Kinda
It was just a joke.
Also the xcase website has a batman case:

I just overclocked my 940 to 3.6GHz, but for some weird reason I had to up the voltage by 0.150v just to go from 3.5 to 3.6.
[editline]24th August 2011[/editline]
Hopefully by Christmas I will have saved up enough to be able to do a major upgrade.
Deciding if I should upgrade to a 1090t or a 2600k, and If I should get another GTX460 for SLI or a whole new single card.
Any advice?
