I like the colors noctua use, but its a shame that there are nearly no other parts to match them with.
Oh, that build was worse than that before the slight upgrade, prepare your eyes:
Damn the noctuas are freaking hideous. What the fuck is that color scheme.
because computer case windows are silly, who gives a fuck what it looks like on the inside as long as the cables are managed
case bros ssd master race.
With those two WDs running do you get the beat frequency humming I was describing?
What it looks like on the inside is quite important for a normal hardware enthusiast.
What it looks like on the inside is quite important for a normal hardware enthusiast.
I'd like a Lian-Li case WITHOUT a window. Otherwise I'm just gonna paint the window black from the inside.
What it looks like on the inside is quite important for a normal hardware enthusiast.
to some*
If the window is done correctly it is nice to have, but just having one with a shit ton of lights and other rice is unattractive. I would say that if you don't enjoy looking at your parts you are not a hardware enthusiast, merely a fan of it.
personally, I'd prefer a large fan to a window
personally, I'd prefer a large fan to a window
I like the side panel of the HAF 922
personally, I'd prefer a large fan to a window
like the inside if the HAF 932 because it has a 230mm fan there. [editline]1st September 2011[/editline] and a window it's win/win
[t]http://puu.sh/50OH[/t] :downs:
It IS fully in, smart ass. It doesn't go in any further. The place where I said 'hole should be here', there is a hole in that place, behind the case on the hard drive. The problem is the only slot where I can install this kind of hard drive is in the second slot where the usb hub/ ssd reader is. Now if I had a normal case, this wouldn't be a problem.
[t]http://puu.sh/50OH[/t] :downs:
erm no my hard drive sticks out and has an extra screw hole too
drill a new hole onto the drive :v:
drill a new hole onto the drive :v:
i tried this and now my hard drive isn't detected and it's trying to boot from my storage drive [editline]1st September 2011[/editline] :downs:
drill a new hole onto the drive :v:
Even if that wasn't stupid, it would be useless. I would rather drill a hole into the case.
Logic much. There is nowhere to drill, the drive is according to him fully in.

You guys would kill me if you saw the inside of my PC... Instead of running all the cables behind the motherboard tray (Most of them wouldn't fit), I just ran them up the side panel between the outer casing and the drive bays. It works, and it doesn't block airflow, but it looks hideous.
I attempted my first PC build today and it was a total failure I think either the motherboard or the RAM is faulty, because the motherboard correctly complains when there's no RAM, but when there is RAM it doesn't complain about bad RAM but it doesn't boot up to the boot test screen I've written an angry email to amazon asking for RAM replacement and have contacted Scan's technical support for the motherboard. My mum was dubious about the whole 'build a pc yourself' thing so she wasn't happy at all and mocked me for not listening to her :(
Okay, ask your mom if she's ever made a mistake. She's no room to talk.
Okay, ask your mom if she's ever made a mistake. She's no room to talk.
I agree but this is by no means the first time she's been 'right' about something I didn't listen to her about, but I'm 99% sure I did the right thing this time

Have you tried a different ram module on its own in a different socket etc?
You did, its just shitty luck that you have defective parts. Have you tried a different ram module on its own in a different socket etc?
I tried every configuration of the two sticks I have, including each stick on its own in every slot
I tried every configuration of the two sticks I have, including each stick on its own in every slot
Is it the right memory? sounds stupid but its happened to my Dad before when he was upgrading his mac pro. Luckily he still had warranty on it.
