True enough but the bonuses are Looks, bluetooth overclocking, outrageous system monitoring (even voltmeter points), and it makes overclocking rather easy for beginners while still having tons of options for advanced users.
what
what
overclocked bluetooth chips can send data at 11kb/s compared to 10kb/s
what
Overclock your computer over bluetooth. Asus motherboards allows you to do just that.
My second 6870 came today.

I got the i5 2500k overclocked to 4.6GHz.
Where in the US do you live. At stock my 2600k is idle at like 40c and loads at like 60c on my NH-D14.
I live in Georgia in a room with little to no insulation, it's hot as hell right now.
And my 2500k normally idles at 35C, I just finished a CoP benchmark, and on load it ranges from 57C to 60C on my Hyper 212+ with a single fan since my second one broke somehow and I'm too lazy to install a replacement.

Georgia ey?
Same state buddies!!

My 4.5GHz 2500k idles at 28 deg C :smug:
(Room temp is 19 ish)

You're doing something wrong bro.
I know, I don't know what I'm doing wrong though.

My H60 gets lower temps than your NH-D14. Even a hyper 212+ gets lower temps?
Are you sure its mounted correctly?
Yes.
I'm using the ULNA on it, but still, I'd think it'd do better.
I'll swap it and see how it does.
Maybe the bottom of it's warped a little? check its flatness with a razer
I saw no distortion when I checked it. If I feel like it on the weekend I'll take it off and clean it and check.

Taken while Playing Crysis maxed except with only 2x AA and Metro 2033 DX11 on very high with AAA, 51C was the highest it went.
Meh, nvm.

Im glad i went with h60, (hyper 212+ was out of stock). My max temps are 41 deg under prime95 :smug:

H60's are sexy, closed water cooling really is the future of CPU coolers, they're not amazing now in comparison to high end heatsinks but currently heatsinks are pretty much as good as they're ever going to get without making all of them pure silver with 3cm thick silver pipe and 10,000 RPM fans.
In the future our CPUs will cool themselves.

I wonder how small we can get without quantum tunneling.
Would be so cool if we built cooling towers out in space in orbit with giant heatsinks then we have a contains small worm hole on our CPU.
HEAT GOES INTO SPACE
GENIUS

A massive heatsink that surrounds pluto and goes through space to reach earth, very flexible and long so it can bend as pluto and earth orbit the sun, surrounded in mirrors to reflect the heat radiation and strong enough to repel jupitor in-case planets or asteroids hit it, as it reaches earth's atmosphere it breaks off into smaller strands of heatsink going from country to country through the roofs of houses going onto our CPUs.
I went too far.
I wonder if i should upgrade to a h100 :v:

I'd rather go for a custom WC setup.
I'd rather go for a custom WC setup.
I don't have that kind of money. Neither do want to fuck around with liquids in my computer.
I wonder if i should upgrade to a h100 :v:
Would be really nice to have 4 fans on it. Should cool really nice. But I don't really wanna take off one of my 20cm fans on top.
Sooo I guess I stay with my WC I have.
I wonder if i should upgrade to a h100 :v:
nope
not much better than a D14, costs more and is louder
Which one of the H series coolers is the best other than the H100

H60/H100 depending on budget/space.
H80 is meh.
I thought i might as well bump this thread
