I was bored yesterday so I cleaned everything (except that damn fan hole on bottom because apparently I'm blind as a bat) and then I sorted the fuck out of those cables. Really happy how well I got the cables, I still want a modular power supply though.
I think next thing I want to do is to paint the 3,5", 5,25", PCI card mounts and the Noctua fan, opinions? (I know I will paint the orange mounts no matter what.)
Also, what would you guys think of a case window, on the front? I thought about making a 21*16cm window on the front where the 5,25" mounts are because I never keep my drive connected, thought about buying a mobile one anyway.

Nah, i assume they're the 2GB XFX 6950's. These to be precise.
Supposedly there is still a chance you can unlock them, theres a few tricks out there. But seeing as i don't own a 6950 i haven't read up on it. You might want to look into it yourself! But i believe the non-reference ones can be done!
Well here is my rig.

Believe it or not it was cable managed at one stage.
Ignore that CD all it has on it is the newest Lost Planet, hence why it is on the floor.
Specs.

Oh I know how to it isn't hard.
I'm just lazy and my temps are fine now anyway.

You would be amazed at what I've hidden so far what with the remote control thing in the front.

Blue Represents intake, red is outtake.
Running them all except the side off a fan controller.
- The front/side/top are all 230mm (23cm). They're 110CFM at full speed.
- The Bottom one is a $15 120mm coolermaster one, that's 90CFM at full speed.
- The back is a 140mm fan (Stock). I think this one was like 70CFM, possibly only 60 though.
EDIT: Sorry tops meant to be a outtake, plus i have a Hyper 212+, it's facing upwards with a single fan on the bottom.
Temps aren't bad at the moment, but just trying to set it up right now. So it's ready for whatever has to be put in it, plus it's always good to have another opinion and some advice!
Thanks!
EDIT: Also for the person saying the 212 EVO is that much better, it's not really. Even coolermaster claim about a 5% increase in cooling performance. I read a couple of reviews and these claim little to no difference. Still yes, the heatpipes are closer and probably allow for easier installs. The fan also looks better quality and looks alot nicer.
EDIT2: Now that i've actually looked VERY closely that's not the same as my case. It's similar with the fan setup but not exactly the same. Google images is teh shit :p

Yeah, a few months after buying my HAF i was looking at cases for a friend and saw that for like $15 more :/. Wish i had have seen it
Just cleaned this out and replaced the fans this weekend, was very much needed. Found a few stinkbugs inside my PSU, under a layer of dust. Not fun.

Not the best cable management, but It's the best I can do without cutting more holes into it than I already have.

Not the best specs, I didn't quite know what I was doing back when I first put this together. I was impatient and the Q9300 was what was available, and it's been while since I've been able to do any kind of upgrades. Anything I could do now other than adding more ram I'd have to replace more than one thing at a time, if not almost everything.

well, yeah, but I'm seeing a lot of i7s and more recent video cards here.

Yea Quite a few people have done it, but apparently 1 in 3 are Bricking Cards, even with same model/revision/build date etc. Gonna enjoy BF3 for a bit before I Brick em lol. Least Reference Cards are a sure thing. They shoulda at least kept the dual Vbios tho :(
Back up the original BIOS then if things go pear shaped then you can just flash the original one back using a PCI VGA card.

Or you flash one, see if it works, flash the second, see if it works.
If one fails you still have the second..

Ya huh!
But yes, i'd just leave it. EVEN if they happen to have the right bios and they happen to work, it's only a 2-3% overall increase.. You'd be better off just bumping the clocks up :p
Just my 2 cents
but what about unlocking it THEN ramping up the clock speed?
Finally received my new 27" 3D ready monitor (with "lightboost technology") and 3D Vision 2 glasses, neither of which are even released yet, I won from GeForce LAN 6. The monitor is one of less than one hundred that currently exist.

*pix*
Too bad all the 3D monitors only go up to 1920x1080 in resolution.
If there'd be a 27" 2560x1440 or a 30" 2560x1600 (best with IPS panel), I'd buy one straight away.
Nice glasses btw.

Do not be too optimistic. Here my setup:

Which happens to have two 5770. They run BF3 at almost highest in about 20-40 fps.
I am going to eventually get two 6950 because the rest of my pc is all-right.

Mine seriously doesn't run that bad... I'll post a video later tonight, but I promise you it handles the game better than 20-40 fps.
