i7 2600K with a Cooler Master Hyper-N 520
500GB WD Caviar
250GB WD Caviar
eVGA GTX570 FTW
eVGA GTX260 C216 SSC
8GB Corsair XMS3
ASUS P67 Deluxe
Antec 1200 (V3, I believe)
Planning to upgrade to 2x GTX580s with GTX570 backup, upgrade to Z68, double the RAM and grab a new heatsink and sound card this holiday.
i recommend buying a case with cable management instead of the new gpu as what you have maxes out any game.
or at least buy just one 580 for now
get a corsair 600T
Planning on selling my NZXT Phantom and buying Corsair 600t
Good or bad idea?

I'm positive that case has cable management, mine does and i'm using a Antec 902.
It has cable management.
He just isn't using it.

I fix'd my post, I was kinda derping when I wrote it.
If you're hell bent on getting more graphical power Zombii then just get another GTX 570 otherwise you're wasting money, and you don't need a Physx card, chances are your worsening performance using that 260 for physx right now.

It does have cable management solutions and I am using them, I'm just shit at cable management.

how is it even possible to worsen performance by lowering the load on the card which is doing all the rendering
I don't know the full answer to that but it's true for the most part, although honestly a 260 seems powerful enough to not bottleneck the 570 if it's only handling PhysX.
You should try with the 260 then without on a PhysX game just to see, I'd be interested to know aswell.
Either way, my point about getting a 2nd 570 still stands.
how is it even possible to worsen performance by lowering the load on the card which is doing all the rendering
Because a 260 might not be fast enough even just for physX when trying to feed that information to a 570. The 570 might be so much faster that even doing PhysX calculations it can beat the 260.
Think of it like offloading stuff onto the GPU for encoding or something. If you have a slow GPU, it may be worth it to simply do something on the CPU instead. That's the idea.
LinusTechTips did a video showing the differences. An 8600GT would severely kill the performance of a 580 GTX, but a 550 Ti I think did well to keep up with the rendering of the 580.
I'm gonna buy a Geforce GTX 570 today, unless you guys somehow convince me not to.
I don't think anyone should or would, 570's are great cards.
But, to make sure you can run it effectively, what is your processor/power supply?

Intel dual-core 2.5 ghz :v:
I think 400w.
1. That CPU will bottleneck a single 570
2. 400W isn't even enough for a single 570
Goddamnit
1. That CPU will bottleneck a single 570

Except that everything needs power and PSU's work most effective at 80% :v:

At idle.
Under load it's way more.

uh no their peak efficiency is 50%
I wouldn't go over 60-70% at full load if you want the PSU to run cooler, quieter and last longer
On my box it says 80% :v:
what box
because every PSU's efficiency looks something like this

Oh wait got it wrong :v:

so here in the united states, we run on 115-125 so that means that it actually would cost more and be less efficient to run on a lower voltage.
what the fuck america?

That is one ugly ass heatsink.
That is one ugly ass heatsink.
At least it's quiet and keeps the CPU cool
It was free too.
400w is just about enough for a single 570, they use about 210w on full load and the rest of your computer will likely use around 120w at stock.

HOW?
I always thought there wasn't enough space under the motherboard tray for sheathed power cables.
