gfx card history
I just join in I guess... Riva TNT > Geforce 2 MX > Geforce 4 MX 440 SE > Radeon 9700 pro > X700 > X1600 (passiv cooled) > Geforce 7800 GTX > HD2900XT (1gb edition) > HD3870X2 > HD4870X2 > HD6990 and for the future: 2x HD6990 or the next AMD dual GPU graphics card
with an uglier cooler that fits in with the rest of the build even less than the noctua and IIRC performs roughly the same (if not slightly worse) while being louder and more expensive [editline]21st December 2011[/editline] it comes with two fans I don't even want to think about the compatibility horrors of a three 140mm fan dual tower heatsink
I agree with you.

IMO the Noctua looks horrible; whereas white is a far more neutral color.
Or he could just change the fans
The idea was if he was replacing stuff purely for asthetics. That's not all the reasoning behind it either, my back panel is warped to all fuck with all the cables from this PSU stuffed back there.
The idea was if he was replacing stuff purely for asthetics. IMO the Noctua looks horrible; whereas white is a far more neutral color.
being a neutral colour means nothing when it fits in worse, at least there's some yellow/orange close enough to noctua colours to work and why would you replace the entire heatsink when then fans are the only colour, possibly ebay them and swap for typhoons talking about aesthetics is all moot anyway because you're going nowhere with a gigabyte rainmobo [editline]21st December 2011[/editline] might as well repost mine since it's like a baby version of Armotekma's noctua fans and gigabyte rainmobos best combination [t]http://imgkk.com/i/w5zc.jpg[/t] I regret going mATX
My new battlestation :) there is 16 gb of ram tucked under that noctua click for fullsize
noctua rainmobo party

Not that I had a colour scheme, those fans were just cheap. They could of been rainbow coloured for all I care. I'd also show pics of the inside, but the cable management in the Antec 300 is god awful and it's a mess. Antec 300 Asus P8P67 PRO Corsair TX650 Intel core i5 2500k Radeon HD 6870 Corsair XMS3 8GB DDR3 Artic Cooling Freezer pro 7 3x CoolerMaster sickleflow
2500k with a -p67? Whaaaaaat?
What, you would like to see a H61 board with an overclockable CPU? P67 is sometimes cheaper and better than Z68 man. And you can OC with both of them.
What, you would like to see a H61 board with an overclockable CPU? P67 is sometimes cheaper and better than Z68 man. And you can OC with both of them.
Did not know that, thanks for informing me tratzzz
Did not know that, thanks for informing me tratzzz
H61 - Value oriented. Has IGP abilities. Really cheap, no overclocking. H67 - Same as H61, except has faster SATA ports too. P67 - Can overclovk, SATA3 or whatever, no IGP. Z68 - Can overclock, has IGP and you can also use the SSD caching thingy.
P67 suits my needs and was £120, not to be sniffed at.
I don't understand why they disallowed the use of the IGP in p67
Because it isn't needed. P67 is focused on performance, those people usually have the beefy GPU's. Reality showed people wanted the Lucix Virtu thing and SSD Caching, Z68 is now the best option usually.
what do you mean usually, Z68 is better than P67 in every way
what do you mean usually, Z68 is better than P67 in every way
Really budget home theater build, you can get away with H61
what do you mean usually, Z68 is better than P67 in every way
Seriously. You get everything for like 10 bucks more usually, why not.
H61 - Value oriented. Has IGP abilities. Really cheap, no overclocking. H67 - Same as H61, except has faster SATA ports too. P67 - Can overclovk, SATA3 or whatever, no IGP. Not too long of a list, now is it :v:
Really budget home theater build, you can get away with H61
what [editline]24th December 2011[/editline] I'm pretty sure I said Z68 is better than P67, how the fuck do you come up with that
