Simplicity is the way to go.
I disagree to H_B I can do everything with that mouse, while winning online games. Mine is black though with the Logitech being kindly faded.
You know, people don't seem to notice but polling rate matters. A gaming mouse has a higher polling rate, which means that if you click it will actually perform a function in game instead of "missing". I thought it was my shitty computer, but it was actually my shitty mouse that wouldn't respond all the time to a click. Doesn't mean much in windows, but it means a lot in tf2, where I couldn't fire my weapons rapidly because some clicks would "miss".
Also DPI means you don't have to set in-game sensitivity really high, losing pixel accuracy. I bought myself a Razer Deathadder, it was either the MX518 or the Deathadder, I tried out both and I like the feel of the Deathadder more. Both are pretty popular.

Best combo ever. I love my G9x (got it on sale for $60 and used gift cards :D) but the MX518 still has a better feel imo. With Razer you're guaranteed to be stuck with bad drivers (even on their higher end products) and you've got a pretty fair chance of it dying prematurely. Not to mention most of their products, besides the Deathadder, are just trash. I had a Diamondback and it...worked. The Mamba I got for free was plagued with issues and whatnot. The G5 is nice but I went through 3 in 2004-2005 (I think?) and my brother is on his second :o. I'd like the Deathadder more of the drivers weren't so bad and if it had a better lifespan. I'd get one after having tried it for a few days but most people I know that have them just switch back to the MX518/G5 after having it fail so many times.
With my G9x right now I never go over 4000 DPI and even at that I'm at the lowest sensitivity setting in source.
Just got my Sidewinder X5 replacement for my Habu, really enjoying it so far. Comfortable and has a really nice feel to it. I just wish it wasn't so light.

Where it says Microsoft at the bottom there is rubbing off, and I got this open box from bestbuy.

That is a Hamster. Hamster and mice are different. Very Different.
Also, I don't get why people say razor drivers are bad. I've never had problems installing them on xp or 7 on several different computers. Also, my friends copper head lasted him over 4 years and counting; he even painted it and scraped off the finish. I've only had a problem with my side mouse button for the death adder because of dirt. Easily fixed with duster gas.

I love the fact the sensor is a piece of felt, but it gets dust clogged up.

Kicks the shit out of my Razers/Logitechs I used to have, and not just for WoW, its probably the best mouse I've ever used.
But its horribly overpriced lol
I use this, and i agree with what he said. I barely play WoW anymore, but i love it. The buttons are in a great place, the overall feel is just astounding.
Logitech G3 all the way.

never seen that color grip on one. :o
Maybe it's just me but the placement of the sensitivity buttons isn't as convenient as with the MX518/G5. I only use them in a few games and photoshop anyways, but they could have gone in front of and in back of the wheel. Wouldn't look as sexy but it would be 10x easier for true "on the go" adjustments.

I'm using this one right now, as this cheap thing is way better than my previous one.
Im using a microsoft sidewinder. It's awesome.
