Gigabite, in all honesty using the oven to do a reflow isn't all that bad. Sure, there is some toxic chemicals being released into the atmosphere. I do solder work, and I have to deal it. No one really has the 2-4 grand to throw down on a decent reflow station.
You don't need a reflow station as I explained above. You use a heat gun, which is much safer and does considerably less damage to the video card because you're only heating the part of the card that needs to be heated.
You can get a cheap heat gun off Amazon for like $20, or at the local hardware store. And Aluminum foil is dirt cheap.
Yes, make fun mentally disabled people, you are totally cool. (Not)
You shouldn't advocate harassment of mentally handicap people, it's not nice.

-OR- you could heat it in the oven FOR FREE and not RISK using the heat gun on UNNECESSARY parts since most of us dont even -KNOW- what needs to be heated nor do we -CARE-
I plan to get a new GPU once the maxwell series comes out, i just want something to play games with for the next couple weeks.
Thread was made since it had a problem, i fixed that problem, there is no aftermath, or how it could have been fixed "better". Its fixed, it works, thats all i care about.
Take this advice of yours and make a new thread about it, kthxbai
OP strikes me as a mad professor :v:

You have a good point there. But I don' think some users would be at the aptitude in using the heatgun to reflow. At least the oven is pretty cut and simple. Set it and try not to forget it.

Except there are like 9000 videos on Youtube that show you how to do it.
And god forbid waving something that looks like a blowdryer above a surface for 1 minute isn't simple, the world is going to hell.

God forbid saving money and putting it in the oven for 5 mins, Gigabite cannot admit hes wrong.

Haha, why would I admit I'm wrong when I'm not?
Using an oven isn't free, it costs money.

In this case his parents probably paid for it.

Oh look at the golds, trying so hard to put down a dead thread as much as possible with completely prepubescent comments.
It takes longer to cook a pizza, wow, what is that, like 50 cents? Please, keep talking.

Actually, it would be much cheaper to operate the heatgun.

Maybe the rapture already happened, and we're just kind of stuck here now.
