2008 black macbook. 2.16ghz, 2gb of ram, 160gb hard drive, snow leopard. What would you pay for it? Also; Where on earth should I sell this thing? lol
sell it on ebay or craigslist. my guess would be about $650~$700 as I sold an iMac from 2006 (1.86ghz C2D, 2gb DDR2 667mhz, ATI x1600 128mb, 160gb hard drive) for $500 last year.

A mac? It is obviously 5x more costly than a up-to-date PC.

Thanks. And yuh. Macs are expensive things. I'm just trying to find an acceptable price range.
Take a couple hundred off what it was new, I have a macbook pro from 2008, it was $2000 new and I could sell it for 1700 right now

Yuh. Theres a few on ebay right now going for a little under $500, most have a few dozen bids on them. I still owe $800 on mine, but anything over $500 would be acceptable for me. Hell, I may even try to pull $600 and see how that goes.

anything less than $550 is a no go, IMO.
Right now the charger is melted. Think i should shell out and replace it, or just mention it when i sell it? :\
Seeing as how it's black, you could make quite a bit from it. Everything computer related looks better in black.
I'd say sell it for $500+ but anything more than $1000 is just crazy... but there's bound to be an idiot for would pay for over $1000
Replace it, and let them know that it might melt.

If Apple makes a black i/mac pro, I would consider buying a mac even more.... one from this year and not from the past.

K. The new magsafe cables were actually made right and don't melt themselves after awhile. :p

Macs don't depreciate. I could sell my 05-06 mac right now for 200$.
a Mac from '05-'06 for $200... I sold an '06 for $500 in 2009...

So I could sell a Mac from 1995 for $2000?

maybe $150 if you're lucky. some crazy Mac person will buy it.
I sold my white macbook for 500 on eBay just recently, you should get about that much if its in good condition.
I'll take it off your hands for $50
I'll do it for $40!
Take a 3rd off the full price and there's your answer. How much did you pay for it anyway?
This is just insane.. I know that Mac's are bought expensive and it's resail value is high, but this is just ludicrous..
