I'm hoping for some kind of "black box" ability, so if you see something strange that you didn't expect to see, it would already have been recorded, like the glasses would be auto-recording on standby but, it would delete older stuff unless if some kind of button is pushed. And then the last 5 or so minutes of recording would be saved.
Sounds pretty much exactly what dashboard cams for cars already do (and I'd love to have that right on my face), but I can totally see major lawsuits against this BECAUSE IT'S AN INVASION OF PRIVACY!!!11!hurr

Er, that's not really the same thing - unless you're a trucker or a pizza delivery guy driving is usually only a small part of your day and it doesn't capture everything you see. As for the invasion of privacy, it definitely SHOULD be very clear whether you have it turned on or not.
There's speak of a release date for developers (not as a product for the public) within the US early next year.
Gentlemen, the future is here. (almost)

Can't think of anything else than a red LED on the device*. But not TOO bright/badly placed so it doesn't affect colors in the video/photo at low light.
* However if Google releases source code of the Glass OS .. I give it a week until someone finds out how to turn the LED off completely.
A video recorded with the glasses came out yesterday:

Now this is amazing. I don't think this is the final quality of the video capabilities, though. Some people say the camera size doesn't allow for it, but I severely doubt that seeing how Android phones have cameras just marginally larger and they go up to 1080p.
This'll be like a more useful and well-fitted version of the GoPro! Slightly less fisheye, though.
I am so going to use this for any parkour videos I do. My big problem is that A) I don't have a GoPro!, and 2) I never bother with recording myself since I'm either by myself, and/or too into the training to care about filming.
This is gonna be awesome!

Don't wait on it, we're not likely to see a working product come out of Glass until 2014.

Well, I suppose that's better. I'll actually (hopefully) have money then.
And I'll still be practicing parkour, so I can wait. Been waiting for the Padfone, can wait for another thing.
Just for fun, what do you think one of these bad boys would cost?

Preorder was $1500
That was only for Google I/O attendees though, and that's most likely special production on request, not mass manufacturing.
Once Google releases it to the wide public I'd expect a price around $600 to $800.

Yeah, do what fraps does, except with a larger buffer.

That's really fucking expensive for something that's shaping up to be barely useful, albeit fun to use.
why do I have the feeling one of the first videos to come are going to be porn?
That's really fucking expensive for something that's shaping up to be barely useful, albeit fun to use.
It's new technology, and new technology will always be expensive. And it's not a phone so you can't get on some carrier network for free, so the price is noticable even more.
Then again the price was only my imagination, it might end up being much cheaper.
I just hope Google doesn't decide to manufacture it in USA like the Nexus Q, because that would end up in an even more expensive device and might seriously affect the sales and popularity of Glass.
I hope the make it look more like glasses, or sunglasses. You'd look like such a douche walking around with that, kind of like bluetooth headsets.
I dunno, it looks beautifully futuristic to me. Like something out of a movie.
