Erry day.
Can anybody reccomend me some nice speakers, such as the pair above? Just some nice modern looking ones for cheap
[editline]5th November 2012[/editline]
My logitech ones are starting to break and they sound a little crappy if I'm honest
Mine are Audioengine A5, sound pretty damn amazing, although I'd recommend getting a sub too if you care at all about low frequencies.

I am not a big music tech guy, my current speakers have a sub, that just has L and R outputs for the two tweeter things, would that work?

If they're the logitech ones I'm thinking of, the A5 speakers would probably output as low frequencies as the sub does. Could you link me to what speakers you have at the moment?

These are them on Amazon, couldn't find anything but shopping results when I googled them (they're pretty old)
Yeah they were just a random purchase when I was in PC world buying a new mouse years ago :v:
[editline]5th November 2012[/editline]
But if the A5's output the same bass as my current ones, then they'll be fine because if anything these speakers are too bassy

Best to shop around a bit too, what would you be using them for?
I never game with speakers, they're used for listening to music when my GF is round, and watching films
but when I play my music loud I like to play my music loud when nobody is home, so if they don't distort at high volumes I'd be fine :v:

Mostly bassy/busy songs like dub and metal

If you have the space, I highly recommend the M-Audio BX5A Deluxe.
You can probably find them as low as $170 nowadays or at most $200~.
If you're unwiling to spend that much, I liked M-Audio AV40's, too. They're great
entry level monitors if you're looking for something cheap.
Ofc, these are meant to be studio monitors so their EQ are pretty flat.
They do have really tight bass though (especially the BX5A), which I think is more important
than a heavily driven bass EQ for your dubz.
They do sound great with metal however.
My dad uses a pair of AV40s back home and they're pretty great, especially for the price.
Tided my desk today.

I recommend you get a more substantial light source in that room. It can hurt your eyes just looking at a bright screen in the dark for extended periods of time (which is something I know we all do)

I actually always keep the light on in my room now, else I blind myself with the monitor, even at brightness level 5, and my eyes start to hurt about 15 minutes in. :(

Here's my desk area:

Corsair Carbide 400R case I upgraded to from an old beat-up sticker coated case from about 2003 or so.

Samsung 23" TA350 I've had for awhile on the right.
Bought a QH270-Lite Shimian monitor off of Ebay and loving it. No dead pixels on my panel. Wobbly stand but not a big deal to me.
Fairly good Eagle ET-AR508LR-BK speakers w/140 watt subwoofer behind the Shimian.
Tidied my room today after putting it off for god knows when and thought I'd show you my desk. Looked like a complete mess beforehand. Sorry for the questionable quality of the pic, lighting isn't exactly good in my room at night.

The case led's show as blue for some reason (they're white)

I have the exact same monitor that I bought 2 years ago, I've been trying to buy another to match the size but I can't find anywhere online. You couldn't provide a link could you?
Also what desk is that?
Where do you live? I bought mine from a local pc shop
The desk is Micke from Ikea.
Offed my TV seeing as I never used it, using a single HANNS-G HL231 monitor right now
they're pretty cheap and pretty nice so I'll hopefully buy 2 more in the future and have a triple monitor setup
