Because there is a large percentage of computer gamers who are in that middle-ground between computer illiterate and hardware people like us. "Gamer" products appeal to them and to me it feels transitional area between the console gamers and the hardware people like us. Also, many people never get out of that transitional stage.

That Razer Deathstalker Ultimate with its touch screen and screen-keys looks like it'd make a very good DAW controller with a few hours programming an interface for it.
I don't mind Razer gear, Rather expensive but the quality is there.
I was just saying that most people mature away from Transformers looking gaming peripherals as they age.
