I kept meaning to post this but this is where I've been working the past few weeks. In one of our secondary labs at work.
v1. [t]http://i.imgur.com/sPYnM.jpg[/t]
What kind of mounts are you getting for the displays? (Monoprice?) How do you like the desk? I'm thinking about getting it for a guest room.

I'm thinking about getting it for a guest room.
The desk is great for the price, nothing better. I've got it on carpet and it moves a bit more than my old one, but that's because the legs have much less contact with the floor. Make sure you measure before you buy, I could have gotten one bigger.
How do you like those Brt's? Are they the tera model or just standard?
How do you like those Brt's? Are they the tera model or just standard?
Standard for now. I've been trying to get these USB 3.0 to VGA adapters to cooperate for about 4 hours... they won't display the native res, and now one of them has failed completely.

Anyone know of any good and cheap monitor mounts that can clamp onto a glass desk? Thanks
Should I bother with a desk if my case is going to overhang? After looking for a desk for a year I really think i'm about out of options...
Should I bother with a desk if my case is going to overhang? After looking for a desk for a year I really think i'm about out of options...
You could try putting the case on the floor
You could try putting the case on the floor
Or strap it to the ceiling
Or strap it to the ceiling
What are you even talking about. I've always just put it on my lap.
You could try putting the case on the floor
I have carpet.
I have carpet.
As do I. Unless you're living in the 60's/70's with all that shag carpet, it won't be a problem.
Get a piece of cardboard and cut it to the exact measurements as the bottom of your case, boom problem solved for a couple bucks.
What exactly is the problem with putting a tower on carpet? I could only see that as an issue if you had bottom drawing fans, a case with low/no feet and tall shag carpet. I've always had my computers sitting on carpet. Putting a PC tower on top of a desk is a big waste of space for me, it increases the noise you hear, it puts heat out right at upper body level and it just puts it in the way of workspace. The only rational I could see is that it could provide better cooling and an easier viewing of the internals for show. Could someone with their tower on their desk tell me why they chose to do that?
As do I. Unless you're living in the 60's/70's with all that shag carpet, it won't be a problem.
It's carpet from the 50s that's about a quarter of an inch tall. [editline]8th December 2012[/editline] Also I wouldn't have room unless I put the thing on the inside of the desk, where i'm not sure it'd get good enough air flow.

Well this sucks. The Vika Amon I bought is too small, and IKEA is 3 and a half hours away. I have to eat the $20 it cost to ship, and then eat the $70 to get a new one. Damnit. Hopefully I can get $20 for this one on Craigslist.
Get another that's the same size as the one you already have, unless that's too big.
WHAT THE FUCK IKEA.
Get another that's the same size as the one you already have, unless that's too big.
Oh shit you're pretty much a genius. That's a fantastic idea :D have a heart
