What desk is that?

Having viewed this thread for some time, am i the only one who sits like this at my computer? desk parallel to arm of the chair (possibly something soft on desk for your elbow for that extra comfort) Foot rest should be slighly lower level than the chair Screen head hieght For gaming and active tasks, incline your chair foward and keyboard on lap Can't go back.
Gah, I want an Eames lounger so bad. One day I'll find one... Speaking of desks though I want to get new office chairs, my current ones are four years old now and showing their age. I'd love something from Herman Miller but I have such bad posture at the computer that I'm weary about their comfort. What are you guys using? My current ones are the standard mid-line chairs from Sam's Club.

I can't stand trying to use his computer that way.

I sit that way at work when I'm bored, except my foot rest is a pile of dead switches and routers.
Mousepad arrived. [t]http://i.imgur.com/QymWK.jpg[/t] Oh yeah, on the subject of eames loungers. [t]http://i.imgur.com/8UIID.jpg[/t] Right beside my desk.
Mousepad arrived. [t]http://i.imgur.com/QymWK.jpg[/t]
So I'm NOT the only person that leaves their HTF-600s standing that way :v:

I think I might actually make a goodwill run, see what I can't dig up.

I just bought a Micke online! Any idea what the max weight limit on one of these things is? I still haven't decided whether I should put my computer on top or underneath.
ive also got an eames replica, got it free at a garage sale many years ago. i use the footrest under my desk

Plenty of room underneath.
Like I said, carpet. I know I could just put it on a slab of wood or something but i'm paranoid that the dust intake will be too much or it won't get enough air. It'd give me much more space and the thing would just barely fit on top as it is though.

Also damn you, I want a MICKE so bad... Won't be able to until spring though. Also here's my new desk until spring [t]http://filesmelt.com/dl/20121213_183012.jpg[/t] It's a bit messy as of now but I'll clean it soon Also my desk pirate monkey [t]http://filesmelt.com/dl/20121213_183026.jpg[/t]
You guys should see the painting I have of a monkey playing a mandolin in 18th century clothes.

In all honesty, the desk is designed for 2 people really so there is plenty of space to stick the PC underneath if you want to. It has some nice cable management hideaways too but there is only one hole at the right of the table which made it a little useless to me (a hole in the middle would have been fantastic, might have to look into modding mine if it will hold up). I got some little hooks and screwed them into the back of the table to use for cable management. All in all its a really nice table if you want plenty of space to work, its not the deepest table in the world, but its perfect for me, what you lose in depth you gain in width and it really is perfect for a dual or probably even triple monitor setup.

It's a haf 922, 22.20 inches long while the desk is 19 inches but the stabilization feet make it short enough to fit on top. I don't know if it's super heavy or anything, i'm just worried. I think i'll just try to put it underneath on the right side. I'm super hyped about this desk, i've been using a dresser and a chair to the dining room counter for 3 years. [editline]13th December 2012[/editline] I'm hoping to eventually get two monitors so the width is a major plus.

Also you could put your PC on the MICKE, I've sat on one of those at IKEA and I weigh about 200 lbs.

(although I don't use my phone as a cupholder.)
Oh man, I got super lucky today. I went to Office Depot to pick up a new chair, there was a really nice one marked on sale for $129.99. I figure, okay sure, so I go to buy it. Turns out the sale had expired for a few days, but they forgot to remove the tag. It's usually $229.99. The nice people there let me have it for the sale price, since that's what it was marked at!
So apparently the computer gods decided that since I was deprived for hardware that they would cut me a break, so they allowed me to buy a perfect condition Logitech Momo steering wheel from a junky leaky roofed and stinky thrift shop, I paid a whopping 99 cents. It is in perfect working condition, force feedback and everything. So yeah, thank you computer gods.
Holy shit, good find!

I would have gotten it immediately, but it does not have the screw thing to clamp it onto something, and that is a huge turn-off.
Get it if it is in decent condition other than the clamp, you can duct tape it to your desk.
