But I don't want it on my desk all the time, and duct taping it every time i want to use it would be a hassle.
I just got to use the wheel tonight for a bit, I don't have much experience with wheels except my brief time having a G25 to play with. I'm very impressed with it, the force feedback feels very similar to the G25 did, it took a bit to get used to using the wheel but I think it'll be a nice thing to have around. For a dollar I seriously can't complain.
Also if you want a wheel and your friend is selling one, without the clamp bit I'd give $30 for one if I were you, it can work fine without the clamp, I tested it, you just need to put a bit of wood and some shims in place of it and push the shims in tight and it's perfectly fine, also dont forget that it's got two clamps that still are there and work, the one that you says is missing is the third that just keeps it from tilting forwards.
