Here's my desk:

I love how people buy tablets and only use them as desk clocks 85% of the time. Not saying you do it, but its more people that you think that do it... $450 desk clock ftw?
What microphone/stand is this? Do you have any sound samples? I'm using a SM58 here but I don't know if that's the best for voice (mostly for Skype/Ventrilo, no singing/recording), and I need to get rid of the SM58 (not mine).
Maybe I should start a microphone thread, because this is probably where my expertise kicks in. The microphone you see in that picture is a shitty Samson Q1U. I only have it because I got it for cheap. My real radio microphone is the Shure SM7B, which is sort of a radio legend. It's a Dynamic Cardioid (like your SM58). The reason Dynamic Cardioid is preferred is due to the fact that if you have alot of people in your studio, the very direct pick up pattern will be perfect for only getting your voice. That's why they're also used in live performances, although being not prime for vocals. Condensers however can often have much broader pick up patterns, which is why they're used in padded studios and what have you for vocal performances. I use a Condenser for when I do internet radio/podcasting via Skype. It should be fine for all other voice activities aswell, just be aware of your background. (if this seems all broken and stuff sorry I'm kind of drunk) Point is, people make the mistake of getting a USB condenser alot, and that's dumb. It'll sound trashy and have tons of interferance, and they probably don't realize they need a good environment for it. Honestly unless you're doing it for money in a studio, high end radio mics like my SM7B/EV RE20, aren't worth it either, and at lower prices it'll really be worth your time to get a proper XLR interface. This is a really good basic one; http://www.amazon.com/Tascam-US-100-USB-Audio-Interface/dp/B002QQC1ZI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1328166899&sr=8-1 along with phantom power (if you're getting a condenser) http://www.amazon.com/Behringer-PS400-Ultra-Compact-Phantom-Supply/dp/B000FG795I/ref=sr_1_3?s=musical-instruments&ie=UTF8&qid=1328166917&sr=1-3 and some XLR cables, you'll have almost no interference and it'll sound golden. gah reading that i cant understand what im saying damn you alcohol Point is, if you have a really noisy room and can't afford a proper interface and shit, get a USB SM58 because it's a fine mic that'll get the job done. If you have a really noisy room but can afford a proper interface, get the US-100+an XLR SM58. If you have a low noise room (when your electronics are off theres no real noise being generated inside your room), get the US-100, the Phantom Power, 2 XLR cables, and maybe this MXL 990 It has a warm and smooth radio tone, but can also be used for vocal recordings. It's not extremely crisp compared to some higher end Condensers, but it's a damn fine microphone. It was 59.99 yesterday, which does suck for you since the price inflated or something, but it's a microphone I'd happily pay 100 bucks for, and it has a shockmount that works fine, so whats there to lose? Lots of people default to the AT2020 but in my opinion it's not worth the money at all, and it's far too neutral for my tastes.

I like what you did with the g15 v2 LCD screen, so ghetto. I might do that when I get a new keyboard.
Shit, forgot all about the 02 joggler. I remember the mass rush to get them once they dropped down to £60. How good is it?
I've always wondered if you can install another OS onto them.
You can, it's a right mess on though because it uses a very custom and stripped down EFI. I've had full on ubuntu running on mine, and the test builds on android-x86. Best solution is the stock OS with SSH enabled. You can then run a remote desktop application if you like. I just use mien as a clock and internet radio player now.

I don't feel like linking a bunch of images so here: http://imgur.com/a/m9Viz#0 The only difference is the fact that there's a college acceptance letter on my desk, a gallon of Arnold Palmer, a 1/4" to 3.5mm headphone adapter and a box cutter on my desk.
Love the tactically positioned Arnold Palmer gallon.
