You're a faggot :v:.
Why post if you're going to be an ass? /youinthemechanicalkeyboardthread [editline]1st April 2012[/editline]
I was impersonating Mr. Agree.
DONT BRING ME INTO THIS
Looks clean, but crikey you need a new monitor.
It works for most stuff but multitasking is a pain. The build was fairly budget and a new monitor would have been $100-150.
Where do you put your legs? Read that again, promise it's not as weird as it sounds
The drawer in front of the keyboard is fairly shallow and there's a big area under it.

I need to sort my shit out so I can move both my monitors together, at the moment I have my glass desk (which is small as fuck) with my 20" monitor on, and my second monitor is on my side-desk on top of a pile of old games and video card boxes.

There's some stuff I need to sell scattered around. I also need to set some more stuff out and put a few more photos on the wall. Sorry for the poor lighting. Just realized I am going to need to take the whole thing apart again as we are getting wood flooring. (Eventual additions include: Ivy Bridge Macbook Pro when it is released, 27-30 inch screen (hoping to wall mount), pair of studio monitors, Akai APC40, and possibly an analog synth)

Do the batteries die to quickly for your taste?
Very nice desk, but how annoying is the wireless Keyboard and Mouse? Do the batteries die to quickly for your taste?
Keyboard is solar powered, so it never dies. The mouse's battery life isn't great but you can continue using it while it charges as if it were a corded mouse. (Keyboard is logitech k750, mouse is logitech Performance MX)
rip chair lasted many years
How in the world did you manage to do that?
How in the world did you manage to do that?
The ones with the plastic supports are known to do that quite a lot, I went through about two-three cheap ones over the past decade or so until I just bought a metal one. NEVERMIND IT BROKE
I had a cheap chair with a metal back support, lasted about half a year. One day the support just... gave way. Almost fell backwards off the chair when it happened :v:

You have great taste.
I need to clean my desk... I also need to buy a real desk, or at least a hard mousemat. I'm using two plastic folding tables pushed end-to-end right now, so the surface is uneven.
The ones with the plastic supports are known to do that quite a lot, I went through about two-three cheap ones over the past decade or so until I just bought a metal one.
I have some 10 year old generic office chair with the back supports like that one Hasn't failed on me yet but god damn is the padding worn out
The state of my chair after 5+ years isn't great. [t]http://i.imgur.com/RoUYv.jpg[/t] Damn things hard as a rock to sit on but it holds up great.
What do you guys think of the Ikea Vika?

Talking of chairs, this just happened 10 minutes ago: The weight retention literally snapped clean off, almost broke my neck, and considering I only weigh 195lb I'm surprised, I've had it only two years too, I messaged the company I bought it from and hopefully they send me another that doesn't break.
holy bananas
It's Makol, he looks at your desk and you get a phone-call, "7-days" in a haunting voice, and seven days later your shit breaks.
Hope mine doesnt break
terrifying, seeing as my chair is already in poor condition.
The metal reclining bar whatsit came loose every couple months, so when I'd sit down I'd shit myself thinking my chair broke then realize before hitting the floor that I'd just reclined it, never in my wildest dreams did I think that would become.. reality.
It's Makol, he looks at your desk and you get a phone-call, "7-days" in a haunting voice, and seven days later your shit breaks.
Yeah. I meant to call you and let you know but the phone bill would have been nuts calling to the UK. so yeah
oh fuck that's the part that I have to spray wd40 on every couple of weeks. it's only a matter of time :<
What I don't understand is the company that made these things made everything out of metal, except the part that holds all your fucking weight: The only logical explanation I can come up with is the metal would bend over time and the wood wouldn't, but the wood snaps which is much worse, plus the metal used on the rest of it is crazy strong so I have no idea who decided on that design.
Probably cheaper to make it wooden.
But why make everything out of metal then decide the small area that requires strength should be made of wood. Oh well, hope they send me another, otherwise I'll buy one of these: :v:
