Shit happened to me aswell, and I'm 180lbs. They just used thin plywood. I can't afford a new chair so I just ghetto'd it.

My chair owns if it wasn't for the fucking filmsy plywood. Adjustable seat-back angle, arm height, seat (ass area) angle, seat (ass area) forward/recessed placement, and of course seat height. Shit has 4 levers.

I can adjust the height of my chair, the height of the armrests, slide the seat forwards and backwards and angle the backrest, not bad for £5 :v:
