Well I have the logitech x-540's which isn't that powerful of a sub but has good bass. May get the corsair gaming ones but they're like £180 so not sure. Need to upgrade case, get another monitor and install a fan.
You underestimate how much magnatism a HD can handle before you get problems. A sub next to the case won't do shit.
I'm not talking about magnetism. I'm talking about the vibrations.
I figured vibrations but I figured you'd guess that that dinky little 4 inch sub won't do anything to vibrate through it's feet, to the desk, to the feet of the case, to the case, to the chassis, to the HD, to the head. In the video, it was focused on a single disk with very loud DB, the disk was already subject to intense sound pressure from the room. I'm surprised he wasn't wearing ear protection.
A. Yes that subwoofer is going to cause problems B. It's not that loud, the camera just pics it up more, the noise is mostly the AC C. Sound Pressure? Are you for real? Sounds don't amplify each other.

Rest of the noise is from the AC, not just the servers. Without it, it'll be a sauna in there.

Magnets would be nothing almost, it's so far away. The fans in the case probably cause more issues. B. I'm not specifying the sound source. I'm saying already subject to rather intense pressure from the sound. C. Are you for real, of course they do. But it depends on the phase. it's just like active noise cancelation, except with the phase unchange. His voice could be adding onto the sound pressure from the sound in the room affecting the drive. Or not, it depends on the sounds. Open up any audio editing software. Make a white noise, then copy it, and place it ontop. Notice how it sounds louder. And subs usually sound better on the ground anyways. On the desk doesn't sound right to me.
I hate my desk. I'm building a new one (I've posted progress of it previously) but we took a break from working on it over the winter because it was very cold. Since then my dad hasn't had time to help me work on it. Can't wait to get rid of this piece of crap. Obligatory cat. It's albino. What monitor is that?
An HP w1907.

There are some things in life that don't need to change—like Coca-Cola, and my wallpaper.
What figurine is that on your screen?
I like that Stromtrooper.
I like that Stromtrooper.
It's been my post-childhood dream to have a storm trooper again, no idea what the hell happened to all my old toys. My girlfriend got it for me, along with the whole walking dead figure line which was awesome. I'm not usually one for toys, and especially on 'display' but for the walking dead and star wars I'll make an exception.

I've got fond memories of my favorite role model cousin who was 8 years older than me and took me shoplifting at K-Mart when I was 7 and getting me a Sandtrooper. I'd go try and relive that childhood memory but I'd rather not step foot into a K-Mart again. To hell with it, I just bought two on eBay. I'm going to give one to my cousin, he'll get a kick out of that, same vintage too.

Can't find them anywhere in the UK other than a Rich figurine from play.com.
I have to add those walking dead figurines to my desk, where did you get them? I only have them because we were lucky enough to come across a display of them right when they were put out. Of the four figurines, Rick and Daryl are the most valuable, Daryl being worth upwards of $50 immediately after they were launched. I opened all mine because I'm not a collector and just simply wanted them. Short answer, ebay.

I wish I had pictures from my machine before 2007, I just never used photobucket until then so anything I had uploaded is long gone. Back when I had a 19" Viewsonic LCD.
And two of that later: [t]http://drdeeps.squidfamily.net/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/desk2.jpg[/t] [t]http://drdeeps.squidfamily.net/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/desk3.jpg[/t] Most recent shot: [t]http://i.imgur.com/p8MiP.jpg[/t]
