Don't buy from OC sadly, but maybe I should start doing so.
OC shipping is pretty decent too, so it might be a pretty good alternative to ebuyer/scan anyways
I fixed a live pixel on my monitor multiple times by poking at the screen where it was.

Mines glass, so if I want a hole in it i'll consider :v:
I got a dead pixel on red, that's the only time you can just about see it. It's to the far right. It appears a very very light turquoise on white but you really have to go looking for it.
OC.co.uk have a guarantee of no dead pixels or you can return in two weeks. I may just give it one, give it a run through some games and see if it moves.
You just need to tap it slightly. If you're lucky then the stuck pixel wi'll be gone. I replaced a monitor (it had warranty) for 3 stuck pixels and got it fixed with a new stuck pixel and them saying they don't repair them more then once.... I can hide it by tapping it, then it stays gone until i clean the monitor (so i tap it again each 2 weeks or so)
Hehe, our school bought the cheapest possible Asus LCD widescreen monitors.
These http://www.asus.com/Display/LCD_Monitors/VH192D/#specifications I think.
Well, they recieved like 30 of them and had to send 7 back on the first week because there were so many dead pixels on them.

In case you're a racist.
So as some of you may know I was one of those kids that until he was 18 had to have his computer where his parents could see it, cause they cared etc etc.
Well I turned 18 back in June and finally got around to moving my desk. Here's the result.

Was that a NES in that pile of old consoles?

PlayStation 1 was my first console. I never played anything before that and my first game was Metal Gear Solid.
Lets just say I was a bit beyond Mario at that point...
You willing to sell it?
:v:
Make an offer. You're paying shipping too :v:
Edit: lets take this to Steam PMs so we don't spam the thread to hell and back.
Was that some 60 year old tape camera? You sound like you are lifting weights.

If by weights you mean my stomach, then yes I was.
But no I just sound like that. Plus it was hot in here and I had just come back from the store.

Well, it's not a desk, but it's a LackRack.

And there's going to be three more of these puppies (each one has a Core2Quad with VMX - virt stack ahoy!) :v:.
Why would someone have home virtual machines besides testing software development.
I want some home servers, but I wonder what I'd even use em for.
Edit: You mentioned virt and VMX, which I assume are virtual stuff

I have a home server, running several VM's
1. Running FreeNAS, wich I use as a fileserver.
2. An Archlinux webserver for webdev
3. Another Arch VM as a download and torrent server with a self written web frontend.
4, Windows 7 VM for testing unsafe/suspicious software

Mostly for kicks.
Also, I totally want to finally implement this, and it's the cheapest way to do it (as I paid less than $250 for four of these machines).

I had the same Idea a long time ago.
but it would be hard to execute. (Getting your machines automatically infected by opening websites and sending mails)
Maybe there could be a scheduled taks, wich opens Firefox with a parameter to open a website, it picks from a database with malicious websites.
maybe you can Install a non up-to-date version of java and flash player, to give it more kicks, and add random services like teamviewer to it, so other people could interact with it too.
oh god
we would need a way to draw a graph that shows all the VM's with all the currently running processes, so you can see whats going on on wich VM's.
also a system wich automatically replaces a broken VM with a new one, by replacing the VHD/VDI on the VM.
If the Host system runs Linux, you could make a cronjob, wich replaces each VM every week, so it has a clean start, also a way for programmes to infect the PC's with their own viruses.
Maybe have different versions of VM's like this:
User controlled VM's:
The user has full control over the VM, and can interact with it trough teamviewer or VNC.
User infectable PC's:
The only way a user can interact with this is by a webfrontend, in wich the user can upload an .exe file wich then gets executed on the virtual machine.
Neutral VM's:
These VM's can not be controlled by the user. it automatically browses the web/sends emails/opens emails.

It was more or less the thing I planned - I even started writing some network monitoring scripts, detecting and visualizing any sort of strange HTTP requests and SMTP connections. I also wrote some firewall filters to actually redirect outgoing SMTP connections to an internal server so that I don't actually go on and send people spam.
I also have a script that creates a new XP machine, based on a few different templates (patchsets, service packs, installed software), adds it to the hypervisor, attaches it to a random switch and runs it.
Facepunch you can do this.

Took a photo of my battlestation today, mainly because I'm looking to upgrade the inside of my computer, but I need help ironing out the specifics. I know what I want, I just need help getting everything planned out to 100%.
If anyone wouldn't mind lending me a hand and teaching me the few things I need to know, I'd really appreciate it. Feel free to drop me a PM!
My friend has one of those logitech speaker docks, quite good sound
Bought it off a friend for $20, came with a cable I can plug right into the headphone slot on my phone.
The ipod plugin is busted, but luckily for me, I have a droid! I have to say, they work great for when I have friends over and we want to listen to some music!
am i the only one who hates and cannot use slide out keyboard trays?
