Yeah, I've just removed it with the screws and such.
To be honest a fan on the mobo would look quite ugly in a watercooling setup, and now that the plastic is gone the motherboard will be exposed to the airflow of the case itself.
Do the motherboards really get THAT hot? I'm getting a sabertooth Z77 for the 4 USB 2.0's and the 4 3.0's and the aesthetics of the thermal armor, do you think that if I had some nice airflow that it would keep the heat down?

Well the thing is, They are designed with in mind that a CPU fan will blow air against the motherboard and thus provide at least some airflow under the 'heatshield'. But since I have a watercooled CPU there wasn't any form of airflow under the 'heatshield' whatsoever causing the heat to just slowly build up. Which after some gaming sessions caused the pc to crash.

I guess I'll be fine then since I'm not doing watercooling, unless an H100 actually counts since there will be fans in my case.

case fans won't help
with the sabertooth boards it boils down to three choices
use a top down air cooler
use one of the loud tiny whiny fans
or take the stupid plastic crap off
Generic everything. Keeping costs low.

Just run a few long (4hours or something) stress tests and see if you get acceptable mobo temps.
Well I'll let ya know in about a month when I actually get an h100 then.

They're tins of beef jerky chew. You use it like chewing tobacco except it doesn't ruin you.
It's also FUCKING DELICIOUS.
How can you even chew on it? It literally looks like jerky the size of saw dust...

Not sure if being serious. Your USMC avatar is throwing me off.
Anyways, you pinch some in your fingers and put it under your lip. Let your saliva soak into it, and suddenly your mouth is exploding with flavor.
A pinch lasts about an hour depending on the size.

I was being serious, I've never tried jerky chew let alone seen or used chew ever. I'm only 15 if the avatar is throwing you off, I'm going to join the marines when I'm 18 so that my excuse for the avatar. My dad has tobacco pouches but I've never seen him use chew.

Nononono. Same concept, totally different substance. It's not tobacco, it's beef jerky.
Less rotting mouth and more

How much does this stuff usually go for? I think I'll try this and see if it lasts me longer than regular jerky since I blow through a large bag in about 20 minutes.
A tin is usually a dollar or so at gas stations. Pretty cheap if you ask me.
