I was expecting a large mess, or zombies.

That portrait setup on the secondary monitor is fantastic. Wish I could do that with mine...
For fucks sake guys if you have carpet and a rolling chair get a chair mat.

Or do what I did, buy low pile commercial office carpet and install it with no padded underlayment. Never had a single issue to date.

I have plush carpet from 1992 and I have never had a problem.
Why would you have a carpet at home
Why would you have a carpet at home
Because fuck walking on cold wood with bare feet
All my bedrooms have carpet, but the rest of the house is either wood or tile.

The one I bought keeps cracking and turning my floor into a maze of razer-sharp plastic bits.
One of my rolling chair's legs broke so I just took the wheels out of the rest of them
chair wobbles a bit but still serviceable and doesn't really move.

I had this issue, stop buying the ikea non-flexible ones and get one with little dimples in it that flexes
Just buy really cheap carpet that looses all it's fluff within a week. Never had any problems.
I had this issue, stop buying the ikea non-flexible ones and get one with little dimples in it that flexes
This, the non flexible ones aren't made for carpet.
My carpet is actually a rug, but it is pretty thick. I kind of like how it holds the chair in place. It rolls easy enough, but you have to do it intentionally.
Oh hai... This is temporary until I can run to IKEA and get a MICKE desk.
I'll update it later when my computer gets here.

If I had enough space for a real office chair, I'd have one. Because of the space issue however, I'm using this.
Also having carpet in your room makes no difference when the chair doesn't have wheels anyway.

feel free to cringe at my wires
I "accidentally" bought a 40" HDTV.
Incoming disgusting phone picture, My camera is packed away.

Yeah it's a tip and I suck at BF3. I am in the process of sorting the room out so stuff is getting shifted around every day.
It actually looks really nice and immersive at about 1M Viewing distance. Not pixelated like I was led to believe. I may actually leave it as my main "Monitor". I have a sofa opposite my desk hence wanting a big screen to watch films and stuff on.
I've got a really big L shaped desk (With integrated hidden wiring trays! :D) coming this Thursday so I can have my triple monitor setup with my 22" monitors too, again. So it's going to look a little something like this:

Wall-To-Wall.
That looks like a nice setup, I would mount the TV on the wall to give a little greater viewing distance and then mount the speakers up on the wall as well where they are a little wider apart to give a better sound stage and level them with the center of the TV.
Nice color choices also ;)

Is that freeview or something connected? I have an aerial coming through my bedroom wall from the roof that's wasted, so I was tempted to get a Freeview box due to my monitor using Displayport and leaving HDMI free.

iPlayer :v:
TVCatchup and iplayer pretty much cover anything worth watching.
